ugghhhh tired of being sick, tired of antibiotics, tired of no energy to work on the car, this sucks, here we go with round four on the antibiotics
Have just found out my P30 is an auto ECU, which is good and bad from what I can tell.
Means when I chip it I don't have to solder in one chip..... but also means I'm running roughly 10 less hp??
Is there any truth to that last statement??

here is my 99 integra. im the 2nd owner, picked it up bone stock from an older couple earlier this year. had timing belt and water pump replaced at 100k. sitting at around 142k now.
how it sits now.
-yonaka catback
-ebay short ram
-ddm 6k hids
-superbright leds for the cluster
future plans
-suspension
-gsr or b16 tranny
-maybe b&m dual bend shifter.
-either vtec head swap with cams and full bolt ons or just piece together a turbo kit for the ls

very true but if im gonna go that route i might as well just build it then. if i go the turbo ls route im gonna stick with stock internals. only shooting for 300-350whp. if anything id do arp rod bolts
my cousin had a stock internal lsv turbo setup and it barely made 300 on 15psi. Motor didnt last.
all im saying is its going to be tough making 300-350 on stock internal and still have it be reliable. i recommend doing a mild build to handle the power.
Im planning on doing a mild build on my motor next year and upping the boost to make 350.
the head can be stock. just the block needs to be built if your only going for 300-350. it'd be easier with a vtec head too. stock internal is fine if you dont beat it. good tune and its good to go.
my motor was tuned @ 13 psi and made 295. but on a stock map sensor which only allowed 11psi max. so it wasnt making the power i wanted cause i couldnt go anymore than 11. had boost creep, then fixed it allowing me 15 psi lowest on the spring and never retuned. boom threw a rod running lean.

no offense, but if you guys are struggling to get 300 on a stock ls/v setup, something is wrong somewhere. getting 250 on 10lbs is what most stock ls's do without a vtec head on them with a somewhat decent setup. and if you go look in the turbo b18a/b ls thread on here, you'll see a lot guys taking bone stock ls's to 300+ with no problem and having them last for quite some time. sounds to me like you guys didnt have the greatest tunes. again, this is no offense to anyone, but this is coming from what i see all the time both personally and second hand.
also, if to the guy with the integra, if you're gonna go ls/v, rod bolts are a MUST if you dont want to spin bearings from the extra rpms

my problem was, my wastegate spring was 15 psi spring lowest and i made the mistake to go there with a stock map sensor. so the tune was way off. because i wasnt able to go more than ~11 psi on the map. i could of made 350 easy.

Im not 100 percent sure if thats what it really made im just going with what he told me.
I havent got it tune yet because i wanna upgrade piping and upgrade turbo first. Also looking to do a mild build next year so i might as well just wait until everything is done and get it tune all at once. car drives fine and pulls good so imma just wait it out.
Yeah i see ppl making like 300 on 11 psi then i see ppl who make 300 on 22psi... alot of times its all about the tune, a great tune can make or break your numbers. I have seen bigger numbers on lower boost because the time spent on a proper tune was there.
