I like to feel safe lol, plus douche bags in this city like to slammed on there brakes outta of nowhere and when you have a packed car, you have no confidence in the brakes.

The reason for the big brakes, is I rather do all the things I want the first time. Rather than take it back off and do it.I'll most likely collect all the parts at the same I collect parts for a motor build. The brake setup should only run me $5-600 to do.

well i mean you wrecked the last to cars from front end from either you driving too close to they just hits the brakes out the blues, who knows. you should learn to drive apart from others it will never happen even if its within the blink of an eye. but its NOT wrong to upgrade the brakes, it'd be great.

The EF got ran over by a pickup truck while I was at a stand still and I couldn't do nothing to avoid it, because there was a car behind me and traffic flowing to the right of me. I got hit by a crackhead. this recent one was the only one that was my fault. My insurance is still trying to get my $1000 deductible from that bitch.

Don't worry, regardless the car is gonna be faster. But I go by, if you wanna make your car faster. You got to make it safer as well. I usually have a full car of passengers on the weekends, so there's nothing wrong with having the extra stopping power. You should know how it feels to have a packed car with 9.5 brakes trying to stop on a dime down a steep *** hill with people going 70 mph.

when i got it had b16a2 with average bolt ons, the tranny had bent shift fork so replaced that with lsd b16 tranny other then that left it how it was for the summer pulled motor for lsvtec build and that got jacked....

so i decided to go with high comp b20vtec finally got almost all the parts gathered and planning on building it within the next couple weeks, my first motor build wish me luck ha. and i also decided to do my first brake/wire tuck and shave here is what i ended up with.

i know i know different color bay blah blah blah haters gunna hate, i have a set of konig heliums i painted the same color gold as my bay and the body will be a maroon to match the half assed marbled color in the bay.

nah, my racecar never see's more then my wife and my daughter...there the only ones crazy enough to ride with me....

i mean i feel you 110% on the better braking and what not, but at that point, honestly, your wasting your money, and putting yourself into danger....i went through that **** when a buddy of mine wanted to swap 11" BREMBO brakes on his altima...

its cool, its HUGE, but when your FULL clamping force doesnt get used because your not heat cycling your brakes on your local commute to work every morning (on a track again, running from t-rex's and ****) theres more to it then just throwing on bigger calipers and rotor's and calling it a day....good luck, your gonna need it...

I wouldn't say it's wasting money, if it was over a $1000 to do it. Then it would be, but i'll be just using OEM honda parts. My brakes heat up to the point where they have no more stopping power.I've done the Integra brake conversion and know how they feel. I've driven mostly cars without ABS and I plan on tracking this car as well as daily it.So the brakes wouldn't be for nothing.

That's how the flow of traffic is here. we got freeways that go up and down steep hills that have accidents throughout the day.I know, because my job is driving. I drive all over Portland metro area and Washington.its pretty sad when a commercial van that weighs almost 3 tons can stop on a dime. compared to a civic with no passengers can't.

If your worried about stopping, get a real nice set of tires instead.

People have a real misconception on how brakes work. With the right tires and some good pads you will stop on a dime.

I still have the tiny *** cx brakes on my car and I can stop on dime doin 80

Yeah I know, I'm not worried about stopping on a flat surface, I'm talking about stopping on a steep 3 mile downhill with a extra 500 lbs in the car, regardless of tires 9.5" brakes will lose stopping power after they heat up. I had all integra brakes before with toyo proxes 4's and I was satisfied with them in my EF.But I'm gonna be tracking this car as well, so there's nothing wrong with the extra stopping power. As long as you know how to brake with a non ABS car.

OK Guys, so I been offered an ARC full sized 2" thick Alloy radiator for cheap..... Should I buy it or not?
I have concerns that it may not let the car warm up enough on a daily commute, wondering if its size would cool the coolant far too efficiently.

What's up everyone....I have a question for all those that have done B20 vtec turbo builds... I know I will invest in a better quality downpipe and manifold and eventually a better turbo..but given i am on a budget would this be a good start? I am going for non vtec for now...(goes back to budget) it's my DD. I am shooting for 250-300hp. let me know what y'all think...I am opening to all suggestions and opinions.

i love how all ebay kits throws in misc items to spark interest in the sale.

your going to spend almost double to get that thing running. injectors, dp, dt, fuel pump, chip/ecu setup and what else is missing. daniel ran a b20v turbo on his db1 just fine and forgot those who doubt the ebay kit.

im always in the market place for FI and there are some good kids that are pretty cheap.

but to answer your question. you should be fine with it after all the missing items are bought.
