untuned right now. and honestly, it runs/pulls smooth. no breaking up at all. only issue is it kicks the cel for map sensor since its not used to reading the extra air. i'm probably gonna order a base map from phereable.net for it in the next couple days

welp my hatch got rear ended yesterday and i got pushed into another car pic will be up 2-3 days .. hatch will be a total loss.

 

i know of a couple that were done. one went 10s if i remember correctly. thats what i'm shooting for in the end. but thats not until i get my built motor together and a real turbo setup. hoping to piece it all together over winter. i have my rods already so next is pistons and everything else to finish up the bottom end. then i'll move to the head, then turbo setup

oh i know man. i know how i feel over having a busted up door and rocker panel and still being able to drive my car. its just every time you see it, it bugs you and makes you a lil sad. idk how i'd be if i totaled a car

scraped the d16y7/y8 rebuild and decided to stroke it...so itll be a d17y8

spec's so far...
d16y7 block, honed, line bored, mild polish, decked .010
d17a2 piston's, rod's, oil pump, water pump, belt pulley (not the actual 10lb crank pulley but the pulley that actal drives the timing belt)
d16y8 head (needs to be rebuilt, but im giong to deck it .020 to make up for the weak deck on the block so i can get some compression)
y8 hg,im,distributor, harness..
5lb flywheel
exeddy stage 2 clutch, stage 2 pressure plate


shooting for 14's N/A, once i swap it over to odb1 (i have the odb2>odb1 harness now) p28 it should be HIGH 13's with a good set of tire's....





working on notching the block now so i can drop everything in and get this party started...

Thats what I need to take some torque out of my engine. It would spin up faster though.

 

I just used the duplicolor vynl and fabric paint/dye, i feel its more of a dye than a paint it like soaks into the material no tacky paint feel to the touch. Just clean and prep'd the seats and interior pieces as good as i could to make sure it bonded well.

 

idk a 5lb flywheel seems way too extreme. i've seen n know of so many who had problems with a 7lb flywheel cuz it was too light. personally, i'll never go lighter than a 12lb

oh wow. never would have thought that stuff would work soo good on seats. thats awesome. i've used it on a dash n interior pieces before, but never tried seats

if someone hit him first then its their fault so he shouldnt be liable, he'll get some money, and hopefully be able to buy the car back and he can just pick up another shell for his motor/trans

 

the motor is fine.
