how much HP do you plan on making? 3 inch is definately too big for most applications. i'd say <300 HP 2.25 300-550 or so 2.5 550+ 3"....

I bought a $30 aluminium ebay CAI and used my stainless steel bends from the Maxrev kit (which is incomplete). Held them together with couplings. Works well. The Maxrev piping is 2.25" going to a 70mm pipe for the CAI.

i did all my piping... 2" from compressor to intercooler 2 1/4" from intercooler to TB.

But my goal is only 200 whp

Do a search for other opinions on what bends u need.

I started from scratch... no piping at all had to make it all
1 180 bend 2 1/4"
1 45 bend 2 1/4"
1 90 bend 2 1/4"

1 180 bend 2"
1 45 bend 2"
1 90 bend 2"

HTH

I bought 5-5 U bends and made the whole piping kit. You can make any angle with a u-bend and a protractor.

the inlet to the TB is usually 60 degrees

i used my aem cai 2.5 inch and 3 u bends 2 inch and 1 90 degree bend 2 inch. 2 inch silicone couplings and one 2inch to 2.5inch. you just need to make sure you thoroughly clean out any metal dust/shavings from cutting.

I have the maxrev kit, but I had to buy more piping anyway.

Out of the compressor is 2", then to intercooler piping which is 2 1/4, then to the charge pipe which is my.. was... my AEM cold air, which is 2.75 inches, so it just basically goes up as it goes to my throttle body.

You are fine with 2.25 piping of you are staying under 300whp, Worry about more important things, like 3 inch exhaust and a high flow cat or test pipe or something. That and tuning and whatnot.

Go here, in the story it will tell you what pipes to get from JC Whitney and where to cut them.

I bought pipes from JC just Monday of this week and it shipped Wednesday of this week.
Total was like $70 something. Piping is 2 1/2 Outer diameter.

I have just a T3, and the outlet is 2 inches. I went from turbo to IC 2" piping, from IC to TB 2.25".

I think 2.5" all the way around is too big unless you gotz mad horsepower yo

Made my own, looks just like rev-hard. I copied, but the only difference is from turbo to intercooler it's 2in witha 2.5transition coupling, then 2.5 to TB. It should work good. My intercooler will be 18x6x3 core size. End to end 26 in.

I'm using JC Whitney piping (2 1/4" from my previous CAI) but I have to wonder, why not use PVC piping beside the fact that it looks ghetto. I know it holds great pressure because I have a pneumatic potato gun that I fill to 150PSI.

pvc will degrade from the heat and also give off toxic fumes. i wouldn't do it.
