Default What brand of Headgasket for boosted GSR

I blew my headgasket and need to replace it. Has anyone tried some different brands of gaskets besides oem? Any advantages to certain brands or thicker gaskets for boosted applications? Thanks!

Motor: stock GSR

if your going to change the gasket you should get a set of arp studs and use an oem gasket...

if you want to lower your comrpesion to run a little more boost safely you can get a cometic thicker one

I planned on getting new head studs but I figured with have the head machined that it would be best to run a thicker headgasket. Any one in paticular from cometic

So OEM sounds like the gasket of choice but what is the copper spray some of you listed?

"PERMATEX®

Copper SPRAY-A-GASKET® Hi Temp Adhesive Sealant

Fast drying, metallic copper sealant helps dissipate heat, prevents gasket burnout and improves heat transfer. Fills minor surface irregularities. Seals instantly. Fills hot spots and surface imperfections. Temperature range -50°F to 500°F; resists all types of automotive fluids, especially gasoline. ZZP recommended for MLS head gaskets."
