A stock honda 81 mm gasket will work with no problems but if you really want an 81.5 golden eagle sells them

get a genuine head gasket from a dealership, or online dealership. im not sure what brands autozone carries but i wouldnt bank on it. the golden eagle ones are OEM honda head gaskets overbored. unless you are going over 82mm a stock one will work fine with no machining.

that sounds cool, but i think a stock golden eagle one is like 30 or 40 cheaper than my local dealership.... and do you think the head gasket is the only important one to change, or the whole upper engine kit should be done?

Yeah, GE's price is like $93.00. Stock gasket is fine.

Just on this topic, anyone seen the gasket kits on http://www.cnsautoparts.com? The prices are way too good but has anyone tried them before?

You might be right there. I have done some search on Eristic gaskets of ebay and the general feedback wasn't that well at all. I'll most likely go with Victor Reinz gaskets from http://www.cnc-motorsports.com. Bit over my budget but a $150 extra now, better than a leaky gasket and then more time and new parts again ...

Wow...people really don't listen on this forum!

There are multiple guys on here making 700-800+whp, and run OEM headgaskets!

They do listen, but they don't have to take the 1st advise that comes their way do they?

Seen posts all about OEM and it will do just fine, seen posts about comestic and even is after market and cost more people did have problems with them.

I'm now going Vector Reinz, well known and its standard MLS OEM fitment.

So you're spending MORE than the cost of a proven OEM headgasket, because YOU'RE convinced it's better (as opposed to the pro-racers and sick 600-800whp street cars on this site that swear by OEM gaskets)?
