Up the boost or tune?
I currently have a sohc vtec turbo- greddy kit with intercooler boosting 10psi. My kit didn;'t come with the blue box so the only fuel management i have is inline pump and fmu. I'm running super rich, my car always backfires but my car is pretty quick. since I'm already running rich would it be wise to raise the boost alittle more, or i heard you get a lot more power from tuning. Originally i wanted hondata but there are no tuners down here so I'm thinking maybe VAFCII but i heard that advances ur timing, and i don't quit get that uberdata. Any suggestions

yeah up the boost until your get the perfect 12.0:1 air/fuel ratio.
No don't actually do that.
What size injectors are you running?
10psi on a fmu...geeze
it may be rich in the mid-upper rpm but i'll bet it leans out closer to redline.
When I had a fmu my air/fuel ratio was good until boost hit then the afr went in the dirt (10.0:1 +) and then up top it would lean out a little because the fuel pressure will only go so high.

yea that is what i would suggest. i say tune before increasing the boost as in getting something that is tunable (i.e. hondata/uberdata)

hmm, take a risk and ruin your whole setup which you have invested time and $$ in? or have it tuned and running nicely?
answer seems simple to me..
now guys i have a question, im going skydiving next week and im thinking about going without a chute, what do you suggest?

sounds good as long as you have uberdata/hondata
i read in a post somewhere on here that there is a good tuner for uberdata in HI

yes because fmu's tend to explode your motor instantaniously.
what kind of disk r u running on your fmu? is it adjustable? i wouldnt really go past 10psi on an fmu, but if your running to rich maybe look into geting a smaller disc for the fmu.

says the FMU owner to defend its uselessness
nah, fmus aren't horrible..but at that PSI your talking crazy fuel pressures. Why risk it? Hell even a greddy blue box is better.

So you correct the rich problem in one rpm range while making it too lean in another rpm range.

exactly, all your doing with modifying it using an FMU is moving the problem

i am just going to say this
"if u are not tuned!!!, dont up the boost!!!"
just because it backfires doesnt nesesary means u are rich., maybe ur egt are to hot..... think about it... get it running right, then moew foward
! 1 step at a time!!!
