Turbo break-in

Re: Turbo break-in (maztur)
Yes there is a turbo break in and in all honesty I really dont know it but what I think should happen is.
A-Dont go into boost at all for a few days let all the seals and oil and stuff all mesh together, actually take it in boost a few times
B-After each drive in car let the engine cool off 5 min but that's always needed when you own a turbo car.

I asked this questions to a friend of mine that works at DRAG. He said there the drag kits (and i assume other turbo's as well) DO NOT require a break in period. It is up to you if you want to do this or not. Just thought i would share what i know. peace-

Re: Turbo break-in (NINJASPY)
fill it with oil before you start the motor. You can use something like a turkey baster. What I did was cut off the bottom of an oil bottle, drill a hole in the cap and attach a hose, then slipped the hose over the turbo oil fitting. Then filled the bottle with oil and let it drain into the turbo--i also spun the blades to rotate the shaft so that the oil would fill the chamber and go down into the oil drain.
Thats about it. There isnt any kind of break in period, just fill with oil and boost til redline!

Re: Turbo break-in (iceburgslim)
ive never primed the turbo although I know its better to do (see Corky Bell)
Ive taken my turbo off and on 7-10 times and the turbo runs fine.
or Maybe im just lucky.
