2 days later, he said I needed to pay him a "disassembly fee" and return shipping to get my turbo back, even though he requested I ship it to him (at my cost). Now I'm out two turbos ($300), the rebuild fee ($200), and he's no longer responding to me contacting him.

I'm running an Ebay turbo for now, until I can find a decent t3/t4 50 trim and get a retune.

I got a chance today to measure the wheels, they're Garrett T3/T04E 50 trim with stage 2 turbine, .50/.63ar housings and vband exhaust. Guy had them on a V8 mustang making 500+whp at 15 psi. He upgraded to bigger ones

One should be perfect for my Vitara D16Y8, I'm looking for something around the 300whp range

If you're going to rely on their car, I'd make sure to keep up with maintenance. Turbo cars need more frequent oil changes, don't go around banging off the limiter at every stoplight. Keep an eye on the oil level at every fill up.

As its says on the top, I just bought this. So i didnt pick the number. It could go higher but you gotta stop somewhere. Im happy with power for now and its currently my DD so I dont wanna push it. Im building a very mild b18c now for another ek I have and want to make that my DD. So until then Im gonna leave it as it sits.

The fully synthetic Rotella 5W-40 has been working great for years in my car. 1 gallon jug is more than enough and is under $25.

^ very nice, do you have a dyno chart? When do you see full boost with the 57 trim? I was going to get one, but people said it was laggy on D16 motors.

Holy fawk that's impressive, especially for a non-vtec. My car made way less on a very similar setup to yours. I heard church was good but damn!!
Here's my setup..

JDM D15B - bone stock (fresh rebuild less than 2.5k)
JDM S20 hydro trans
Innovative cable/hydro converstion kit
Innovative motor mounts (85a)
Innovative traction bar
Competition stage 4 6 puck sprung clutch

Precision 680cc injectors
ebay cast log manifold
Walbro 255

2.5" charge pipes cold side
2.5" downpipe w/ cutout
2.5" paisa muffler shop crush bent exhaust piping
2.5" Magnaflow resonator
2.5" Magnaflow muffler

This setup only made 171 whp/161 tq @ 9psi with full exhaust. Engine had trouble breathing on the dyno with full exhaust so I left it alone. With cut out open it pulls and feels like a totally different car. Gonna make another dyno pass soon with cutout open and a few more psi...should hit 230whp easy.

Nice pick up. I have been using one of those for my brothers civic. although it is the 57 trim. Easily makes over 400 on his b16.

Hoping to get my motor back together asap. Rods are on back order :/ If all else fails, we have a set of crower rods bnib on the shelf, but they have the small bolt. seems a bit sketchy for what I want this year lol.

Got a retune with the 50 trim

We decided not to push it since it's my DD and I am perfectly content with 310whp. Delivering sushi in this car is FUN!
