a band aid that sucked at what it did....you use it with an fmu to "tune" a car
essentially what it did was bleed off some of the boost so you map sensor didnt see it.
you stock map sensor can read up to ~10-11psi anything over that will trip the ecu into limp mode, so you could run say 20lbs it would bleed off ten and your computer would stay happy....unfortunally the rest of your motor was laying 200 yards back on the freeway
so anyone that runs a missing link is a moron and should not be allowed near a honda....or any vehicle....since pgmfi.org cracked the honda code and produced crome well over a decade ago it has been obsolete.

Missing link blocks all boost to the MAP and doesn't bleed it like an MBC. True, a missing link is worthless when chipped but if you're in CA and keeping OBD2 for smog then it's understandable. I've been running one for years and haven't had one issue, but the Link piggyback that Edelbrock uses is way more advanced than an FMU and has it's own secondary MAP. Also the OEM MAP doesn't allow any boost on OBD2A, the 10PSI is only for 99-00 Y8s.

hahah that sounds like a joke, bleeding boost.
I dont understand what kjmagnum said about boost on OBD2A and OBD2B. I was on OBD2B pushing 9psi with an OE MAP sensor.

It only keeps boost from the MAP so there isn't a CEL. Like I said, OBD2B is fine up to 10PSI but if you're OBD2A then the MAP doesn't allow any boost. You need a voltage clamp/resistor or missing link if you're using the stock ECU.

I could be wrong but Edelbrock had the issue and says it's only for the 96-98 MAP sensor and not the 99-00. Others also reported the problem so I installed the missing link at the same time I did the turbo kit and I didn't test it before. Either way, it's been running fine and hasn't blown my engine.

310whp/240ftlbs in a EK sedan. Exhaust is 2.5" all the way, I think it's affecting my spool time somewhat. I see 17psi around 5500rpm

Re: SOHC Boosted Set ups! Chime IN...a place for the SINGLE SLAMS
my bad technically yes 10psi is the limit and set 11psi for boost cut
stock honda map = 1.7bar
atmospheric pressure = 1 bar
1 bar = 14.50326psi
14.50326 x 1.7 = 24.655542
24.655542 - 14.50326 = 10.152282 or range
crome reads up to 11psi on stock map sensor settings....i ran 11 for some time on a stock map without issues

Re: SOHC Boosted Set ups! Chime IN...a place for the SINGLE SLAMS
I know it's last minute and all but I know alot of people are pulling out of the race in Vegas due to the long trip, so I talked to cliff and if we have at least 8 racers we can have a class at the IFO in Ennis, Tx on April 29th. I know there were a couple of people here local and some people on the east coast that want to go to Vegas for the race but this would be closer! So if anybody is interested pm me and I can get a list going.

Re: SOHC Boosted Set ups! Chime IN...a place for the SINGLE SLAMS
My new setup consist of a stock y7 block with z6 crank, ported oil pump, eagle rods, srp pistons, block guard, y8 head with bisimoto springs and titanium retainer, skunk 2 stage 2 cam, bisimoto cam gear, 750 rc injectors, venom intake manifold, 70mm tb, custom made turbo manifold( I haven't seen another one like it anywhere else), and a 60-1 turbo. I'm hoping to get 400hp.

Here's my dyno vid from yesterday. On a Dynapack I made 310whp/240ftlbs, on this Mustang Dyno I made 275whp/235ftlbs at 18psi. So, I turned it up to 23psi for ***** and giggles and saw 301whp/248ftlbs on the Mustang Dyno

I made 211whp on this dyno last year, stock motor and with a T3 60 trim at 8psi.
