How much boost/power? Are you going to build it? Otherwise a 6262 seems wasted on a stock engine.

Most efficient way to wrap a ramhorn, each runner individual and double across the two on each side.

I really hate how that ram horn is wrapped! I could never bring myself to do that to mine. Even if it was to give me extra HP.

I didn't do it for HP, I did it to save my CF hood from heat.

thats not "effecient", thats ugly

Ugliest wrap job Ive ever seen actually.

My old ramhorn unwrapped did nothing to my cf hood, if your hood is getting that hot Id tell whoever fabbed my manifold that they f'd up

First off one layer vs two will keep the manifold cooler, reduce heat in the engine compartment and increase spool time. Any heat reduction in a motor will cause the motor to be more efficient. And surprise surprise, the hood isn't getting hot, so much for being efficient I guess.

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder, Its like fake carbon fiber wrap its ugly but people use it. Wont see it on my car. YOU don't have to like it, it's not in your driveway and with how much you troll I'm surprised you haven't seen the hundreds of other doubled wrapped manifolds floating around here. I would rather save my hood and be more efficient with spool time and engine bay heat reduction than worry about what some kid says is "ugly".

Heat on the manifold has nothing to do with the maker. Or are you telling me to go to Honda and tell them to make a motor that doesn't heat up?

If your wrap came undone I'd tell who ever wrapped your manifold they f'ed up.

What does looks have to do with doing the job? If I ran a ram manifold and that did the job I'd wrap it exactly the same. Who are you trying to impress?

FTFY, I agree that it doesn't look as cool as a bare ramhorn but who cares. I would do the same thing since I follow the ways of function>fashion.

Might want to look into speedfactory or all in Fab in Oregon. Both are very sick places for manifolds.

Anyone have luck with a single core rad?

I ran hot yesterday boosting in 90* heat, noticed coolant pushed into the overflow. Motor has around 1k miles, ARP's torqued to 75ftlbs. Making 310whp with 12* total timing on a built Y8.

Any ideas why it pushed coolant into the overflow? Possibly simply running hot = more pressure = push coolant?

I ordered an aluminum dual core rad, plan to use the stock fan and see how it handles it, if not I'll upgrade to a higher cfm fan.

Pushing coolant while under boost is normally head lift. If its just while cruising then somethings not right.

Did you always have some extra in the overflow? Was it over the line? I am not pushing the same amount of power as you but have ARP's with just over 600 miles and all seemed fine with my stock 130K rad. Did you ever re-tq them when you hit 600 miles? There are a lot of factors

It's my headgasket pushing coolant out the rad filler at idle

I'm getting a new set of ARP's, got this set used and previous owner "tq'd" it to 65ftlbs but I saw old posts saying he did 70ftlbs. Also going to resurface the head.
