Default Sleeve identification please.

Hey guys. I went out and purchased a freinds b16 sleeved block and crower rods for 400 bucks. (couldnt turn it down). but the block has been sitting for so long that he dosent remember what kind of sleeves they are. can u guys tell me who makes these sleeves. these are all the pics that i have.

those look like benson /darton sleeves or RS to me. Pics aren't the greatest, hard to tell...

most companies keep a record of the blocks they have sleeved. Trying calling around, all you need is the number near the block code (B16A)

Kind of looks like benson's sleeves with O ring.
........ and that stamp has nothing to do with the sleeves, that is the bearing code.

yeah, it's definitely a sleeved block. You can tell on that 3rd pic down. See how you can see that the whole sleeve doesnt appear to go all the way down like one would that has the factory sleeves in it from Honda?

made some calls. no sleeving company goes by the badge number on the block they go by the name of the guy that got it sleeved. which i have no clue.

we go by both these are ether Benson's RS or might even be a old econo sleeve from here cant tell for sure give me the numbers i can look and see its its one of our older econo sleeves

^ lol I think you mean "God", unless "he's" a girl . Defenitely a possibility that they are econo sleeves though. What mm is the bore? (how many times has it been bored again?)

uhh its called reading, just look at the sleeve on the right down the waterjacket and you can see a shiny lip

you see in the top pic how it looks like the sleeves arnt lined up? That's how benson does their stuff.
