Oil return for low mount / remote mount turbo???
Friend of mine has a Lincoln LS he wants to put a pair of DSM turbos on. The area where they would fit is kind of low and back in the bay. Oil return lines couldn't possibly have the nice downhill shot to the pan like my honda.
So, I know alot of non hondas run strange turbo locations (like sts) how do they typically get oil to / from the turbo?
Do they just T in like we do and rely on oil pressure to push oil through?

you can get a scavenge pump. i did a fullsize chevy pickup with a turbo under the bed, we used a scavenge pump on it to return the oil.

So engine oil pressure is sufficient to pump the oil TO the turbo in the back of the car, and then the scavenge pump pumps it from the turbo back to the front?

that's correct. I would use an electric pump. The line to the pump should be facing rearwards and flow downhill to the pump.

I know they make high temp oil pumps for under $100 that are proven to work

Anyone got any links to any scavenge pumps that are kind of known to be decent, but that are relatively inexpensive? (like maybe $100 or less?)? Just curiosity. . .

I was looking all over for info on these pumps and saw this thread. I found one on ebay, but its a bit more then I wanted to spend. around 200. It looks decent so I might try it out and let you guys know. or maybe il wait and see if I can get a used one.
