Great project!
I've been planning/designing a mid engine crx for about a year now.
I'm not gonna bother with AWD. Too much wieght and there'll be enough traction with the engine sitting over the back wheels.
Honda Tuning is building a 4gen mid engine civic with a removable rear cage that the motor and rear suspension mount to.
I wouldn't bother tinning the floor; maybe use a stronger bulkhead to mount to.

Definitly keep updating us.

yep, complete rolling chassis, I only want $500 for it if you pick it up. Itll have stock front struts, KYB AGXs in the back. Im stealing the front KYBs for my project

Ya, Ive been following the CRX one, thats a lil deep for me. Me and custom suspension parts arent quite bed-buddies yet. THe most Ill be doing is locking the Toe links to the frame. I dont trust myself enough to build a full custom suspension...YET.

Thatll be something down the road when Im tapping on the door of 10s or something. Build tubular suspension pieces, prolly drop over 100lbs with LCAs, UCAs, and a custom Kframe.

With some more low end power (read: 2-step + juice) and some big fatty slicks out back, you would be the man if you picked up the front tires at the strip

You read my mind!(and I think I will be your man).

fsp31: Im using an entire h22 swap. I can do this because Im using stock suspension from the front of another car, and this takes the pain out of custom transmissions/diffs. Basically make a frame for the K frame to bolt to, bolt the engine to the Kframe, make some motor mount brackets off the frame, and some UCA/strut mounts. That might all be done by the end of the weekend. Im going to spend all day Sunday on this, Im sick of the 10/20 minutes cutting/welding sessions.

probably a 6" long piece of pipe coming off the turbo. Ya, itll be loud, but its behind me now, so bring it on! (turbo will sit behind the engine, exhaust will exit where the license plate used to be)
Shift linkage is Cable, so its easy to do. Make some 1/4" rod extensions that go from the shifter, through some guides, and connect to the stock cables. The shifter was interesting, I got my digi back today, so Ill snap some pics of everything.
