Was able to make a shim fairly easy, moved the pulley over about 1/8 or just more and it all lines up pretty good. Belt has been fine as long as you make sure that the stretch is all out when you first put it on. Alignment issue's gone, new issue!

Any body had a problem with pinching of the coolant by pass hose (U shaped)? I keep popping or pinching would be a better word in this hose with the s-tube. I just got done looking in the directions and it says that there is supposed to to be a hose that came with the Original Kit that would have to be longer and go over the S-tube. Did everyone else do this or how did you the rest of you deal with this problem?

The application is a Y8, 2000 Civic Ex.

Thanks

Reinstalled the SC tonight Man I love it. I had to replace the coupler the spring one has to be the dumbest design ever. I now have a fixed one and my noise issue is now gone. Left the z6 pulley on the engine to keep the power down since my clutch didnt like the y8 pulley power addition.

The shim fixed my alignment problem as far as I can tell. I am recording only 5 psi with a Y8 crank pulley and the 4" snout pulley. Is this the same amount of boost you guys were seeing with that same setup? I am just curious because I am wanting to make sure my SC is not needing to be stripped and recoated. I am only seeing intake temps of about 141F with about 60-65F ambient temps.

I have the 3.4 pulley and with the y8 crank pulley on a unmodified supercharger I would have seen 9psi and that is with the rotors being uncoated. The lower psi will help keep your temps down.

does anyone know the pulley offset on the z6 kit? Behind my pulley there is a washer was that part of the kit? Or is it a shim to change the offset?

Im pretty set on supercharging my EF, but Im really having a hard time finding a d-series setup. I even went to Jackson Racing, and they dont have one on their site... Anyone have an idea where to get one?

Craigslist in the midwest is empty. No ebay, and google didnt return much. Ive been searching for a few days.

That's odd, there's usually 1-2 sohc JRSC's on ebay per week. You have to search for "jackson supercharger" though, since the word JRSC isn't used much on ebay. Look at the completed auctions, that shows the last 30 days of activity. There will be a few to get an idea on pricing & availability.

i have a jrsc that i threw on my 93 si (z6) without proper fuel management, tuning, or exhaust, anyway needless to say i melted a piston and broke the ringlands in all 4 pistons, i have broke down said motor and am rebuilding it for a turbo setup i had on a previous hatch, and i want to use the charger on my 96 ex dd, i know theres some differences in the setup for the y8 an z6 but wut exactly is the diff, and is there any way to use the z6 charger on my y8? can it be converted?
