So the stock GSR .bin file looks for a knock sensor? So anybody that uses that in a P28 is gonna get a CEL? Can anybody post a .bin for a GSR with knock sensor delete?

I just started playing around with the Uberdata and i have a few newbie questions that i didnt see on the FAQ.

Under the Boost tab for low and high boost its says:

"the a/c console button toggels between high and low"

So this means i just hit my ac button to change from high/low boost? I'm guessing this means keeping a/c is out of the question? Also is there any point in buyin a boost controller then?

Someone please explain further for me on this.
Sorry if the questions been asked already 25 pages is alot to read through.

the nubers in the fuel tables are basically the duty cycles for the injectors right? if so, how do they correspond to an actual %?

does this controll the IAB's? if so, does it send a negative or positive signal?
positive == JDM
negative == USDM
also, what is the difference between the JDM and USDM p72 bins?

P72 code controls IABs, if you search PGMFI you can learn how to alter IAB trigger point. You need P72, which has IAB hardware installed, or you need the proper hardware modifications to P06/P74/P28/etc in order to use them.

How the IABs are actuated is an OBD specific thing, not market origin thing, or so I thought.

I was comparing the jdm p72 bin with the p30_ermbaseline.bin because I have a b16a2. I was going to copy the fuel and timing maps from the p30_baseline to the jdm p72 bin (since I have a edm ecu) but it looks as though the p30 used more fuel than the jdm p72. Is this right? The timing seems more advanced also.

the jdm p72 is a b18c4 map - runs fine unaltered on my b16a2, except when the engine is cold the idle kind of hunts around a bit. If I copy the settings from the p30 baseline it would be even richer correct? I don't get it. I figured a b18c4 would use more fuel than my b16a2, and why is timing more advanced on the p30_baseline - I thought jdm maps had timing more advanced because of higher octane available in japan.

someone take a look and school me

edit it seems the p30 pulls more timing toward the top end - but it is advanced everywhere else. Also on the low map there seems to be less fuel on the p30 than p72 but on high it is the opposite.

the p30 bin basemap is probably JDM based as well and thus runs just as much if not more timing (in your case more). Not sure why, must just be how honda chose it. (guess). As for the fuel... im stumped. Maybe its just not a "true" basemap

Do you think I should just run the p72 map and fix the idle? The car seems to pull strong with it (just butt dyno though) Do you think the fuel and timing will be okay? I am more worried about the timing, as I have a wideband that I will hook up and make some passes with.

I am kind of worried about the p30 ermbaseline.

EDIT: I want to make sure the timing is correct because I will spray niitrous on the engine soon. (I don't have my turbo yet - I will use uberdata to pull timing in the upper vac area for nitrous)

I did a 3bar setup running on a fully built b18a with precision 780cc injectors. Was not any harder to setup than a honda map sensor with 450s, I tuned for 11.x air fuel on my wideband and .8 deg/psi and had it running good after only 2 more reflashes to add a little more fuel under boost. Drives like stock, idle is not as consistant but still very acceptable considering the circumstances, I have not played with the IACV control either which is all that may be. Only running 12psi till the stock fuel pump gets changed out this weekend then it goes to the dyno week after next to see what it does with more boost. Its hitting awesome numbers on my but dyno, pulls crazy hard for 12 psi, gets bfg dr's spinning in 3rd gear.
