i have oil out of compressor of bws366
could it be the oil drain line? it goes straight down then curves 45 degrees. I changed it to a 10an drain and a 3an feed. no restrictor. oil pressure is around 40 when warmed up. 10w 40 halvoline non synthetic oil . what are some possibilities, i dont just want to replace the seal without ruling out the other factors.
Thanks in advance.
ps here are some pics of the oiling set up

I was thinking a restrictor, but when I called BW they said no restrictor whatsoever, no exeptions, so thats my worry i might starve this turbo.

ok what do you think the issue might be. turbo has new seals. When you rev it a little it starts to spit out oil from the compressor outlet.

I took off the turbo drain line from the oil pan and let the it drain out until the level is under the nipple fitting. It is still spitting out oil, although not as much as before. Oil level is at the center of the 2 holes on the dipstick. Maybe I need to drain it a little more.

THe only thing I can think of is one of 2 things.
1) the oil return, despite its look, still isn't gravity correct
2) Can't see if the cartridge /(CHRA) /Center "Section is completely vertical or not.
3) 40psi of pressure at IDLE is different than 40psi of oil pressure at WOT. What is the pressure at COLD start?

The center section is completely at a vertical angle with respect to the ground. At cold start it can get as high as 95-100 psi.

This is what Bill Devine (Bullseye Power) says about oiling for the S366ETT:
Oil feed should be only -4AN with -10AN or -12AN Oil return
Max recommended oil pres is 80 psi at full tilt, min is 15 to 20 psi.
.080 restrictor is recommended if over 80 psi.
Also, are your fittings true -10AN on the inner diameter? I had a -10AN fitting that was more like a -8AN internal size that I had to drill out.

If you have a boost gauge, hook it up to one of the lines from your crank case. See what kind of pressure your crankcase has.
