Fuel Pressure
Hey guys, last night i installed a Walbro 255 HP Fuel Pump, B&M Command Flo Fuel Pressure Reg., B&M Gauge on my civic HB. It has a Ls swap in it and has been running with the Dx pump so i thought it was time for the change. So i installed with no problems or leaks. Now my question when i went to adjust the fuel pressure to the factor spec. in the Helms manual . My B&M Reg. would only back it down to 58 psi. Another thing when i take off the vaccum line from the regulator it is suppose to raise the psi right. Well when i take the hose off of my regulator it does nothing stays at the same pressure whether the hose is on or off. Has anyone ever had anyone these problems . Does anyone have any clue of what could be the cause of this. Any info would be helpful.
Thanks, David

The Walbro pump pumps too much fuel and overwhelms the stock FPR, even with the B&M on top. Current best solution is to drill a ~.040" hole in the inlet of the FPR as shown on http://www.theoldone.com/articles/regulator/. That will allow you to be able to lower the pressure.
If the pressure does not change it's because you have the B&M backed out too far and it's not compressing the spring so having vacuum or not makes no difference. Crank it in and you will see a difference.

nope they dont sell it in a fraction for that small or i couldnt find it. It is known at the hobby shops as a #65 or i heard that a simple 1/16 will work .

i would think so, but i havent used a inline pump, so im not for sure. I would think anything that was bigger than stock would increase pressure. The walbro increased mine so much that i cant back it down to factor spec as previously stated.
