You have come to the thread dedicated to Member Introductions.

We've noticed many threads created by new members who wish to introduce themselves to our subforum membership. While these types of threads don't fit well in the 92-00 Civic/Del Sol forum, which is dedicated to technical discussions, they seem to generate a significant amount of interest. So rather than close these non-technical threads, we decided to consolidate them here.

From this point forward, please post your member introductions in this thread.
Old and new member introductions are welcome.

***Please limit each introduction post to just a few pictures having dimensions no larger than 1024 x 768
so that this thread does not become too unwieldy.

Default The Member Introductions Thread

Ok- I've been a long time lurker and honda guy- just never actually joined a forum or posted. Wanted to say hey and Heres my ride (looks different now- I'll have to get pics)

I originally bought it as a cheap daily to give me some reliability and fuel relief from my other funner vehicles. But like most civic owners, I fell in head first and couldn't resist tuning! Decided I wanted to build a fun daily driver that was good on gas and performed well. My first civic I kept stock, but this one got a bit of mods. Did all the body work and treated it to some flat tan krylon! Had to keep it fitting in- in my "flat fleet" Has black faux CF painted roof and trunk along with many hand painted decals and junk. At this point I wanted to install some go fast parts. Found a complete edelbrock d16y8 turbo kit which I modded to work with the z6 and had at it! 4 pulls later on the 200k mile d16z6 it **** a headgasket, so I upgraded it with ARP studs and new gasket. Since then its been smooth sailing. Hated the feel of the stock boomerang seats so I picked up a set of sweet prelude buckets. Wanted to upgrade the lighting so it got full green LED's on the inside along with bright white dome light, and high output non HID headlights (didn't want the hassle and ricer status of HIDs with this one). Had some 17" tenzos on it that I recently sold and bought some LS mesh rims with new tires.
Currently working out suspention type stuff. Bought a set of craigslist tokico blue struts and eibach sport springs, but shortly after removed them because I hated the ride. Very bumpy and jostling/rubs. Rode on stock suspention for a few weeks which felt too floaty and soft. Round 2- bought a set of BILSTEIN coilovers on here to try out. I love the bilstein ride on my monte so I figured It's gotta be good for the slo-vic as well. So far I've got the front adjusted about where I want them but the rears I didn't have time to get to yet. It already seems like they're going to be way too stiff, plus I think all the strut mounts are blown as their clunking like crazy. I may try to use the bilstein struts with stock springs/mounts as a hybrid combo. Its good to be a tech and have the tools to easily experiment with stuff!

^theres some eye candy for ya. I'm sure you guys would like my other rides as well!
Even have two other hondas!

As far as converting goes it'll depend if I sell the turbo kit or not. I have it listed currently so if it sells then I'm convert back to NA and either just DD the car like that, or sell the car as well and find a VX somewheres.

We're going to need to see an introduction from you, Ron. Seems you just sort of showed up one day and started handing out advice.

I guess I'll post since I never made an introduction (never saw the use in it tbh).

I've been into Hondas for about ten years now, and cars in general for longer than that. I come from a family where a bunch of the guys are into cars and the women make up rules about how no one is allowed to talk about the cars when you're in the house.

Anyway, I have a 1998 Civic EX and a 1988 CRX HF for now. I admit I'm not knowledgeable about a lot of the workings of cars yet, but I'm always open to learn. I could really stand to learn more about suspension, engines and electrical. I know specs, colors and chassis codes and such for now. Oh, and optional parts.

These are my current cars:

my dad wanted me to get a honda because of how 'reliable' they are and everything. so a couple months after i turned 16 i got an ek coupe. did some little things to it and it ended up getting totaled from some girl hitting me as i was driving by and she was on the side, parallel parked. RIP.
then i eventually bought a pretty much all stock ek coupe. my slow project. working on appearance things first before i get to making it fast. so this is what it currently looks like.

don't mind the fenders.. i have passwordjdm ones with sidemarkers coming soon!

I have a 1999 Honda Civic VP and live in Plano, TX. It is silver and currently has a front crank seal oil leak and possibly a stuck valve. I will be posting all the details in the right areas of the forum when I am able to, thanks in advance to all for such a great resource.

Hello all, I'm Tom. I live in OMaha and im 24. This first picture is of my old coupe that I bought last year. Did some fixing up to it and pretty much it was my dd. Had a little bit of fun with it. Put a short throw in it, 2.5" cat back exhaust, AEM cai, smoked headlights and fogs with a 12k HID kit. Nothing to special.

I then traded that for a 1995 Civic Hatch which is now sitting for the winter. It has a B18B1 in it. This is how it looked the day I got it.

It then turned into this after the fire...

Just trying to piece together some interior pieces and get everything back together.

Hello all, I'm Garrett. I received my 97' DX Hatch from my cousin, who obtained it from my father.

I plan on taking this little guy to it's full potential.

My name is Tiffany.
Also a member of carolinahondas, eastcoasthondas, j32a & a few others.
I drive a 1993 Honda Civic Sedan with a J32 Type S swap...yes it's manual.
Up until purchasing my Jeep, this was my daily driver.
Yes, I've ran it at the track. All motor best time was 12.67 @ 114mph.
(Ported intake manifold, ported heads, & a full 3inch exhaust)
Tried to spray a 100 shot of nitrous & it melted the clutch...
Competition Clutch told me they will have a J series clutch out Spring time.

Hi everyone I'm Alex. I'm an FMF Corpsman in the U.S. Navy, I love my job. Just recently went into the Reserves and now I am a stay at home Dad. The wife is still active duty

I have been into cars for a very long long time. I remember filling up my friends 92 civic with a B16A with 10 dollars, going cruising in downtown San Antonio, Texas. Gas was .86 for 93 octane...The good ole days.

I just purchased a 98 hatch not too long ago. I have already sourced some HX wheels, and bought a welder to relocate my battery and start a shave and tuck as soon as it gets a little warmer outside.

Here's a pic of the Hatch. I have replaced the tires since the pic was taken.

Hello everyone. I'm Ryan, from green bay, WI. I've owned 3 hondas since 2004, and though they are not my primary automotive passion, I'll always be a huge civic fan. I used to be real active on ClubCivic for 4-5 years until they banned me for not playing nice with others, which was fine considering I was out of the honda game altogether at the time. However, I just got myself back into a civic on an impulse trade for my old CRV daily, so I'm here to say whats up.

My first civic, and first car, purchased 12/31/04 and stolen on 12/24/10 RIP.
It ended its life as an ugly as sin winter beater/snow bank smasher.

My s13 that stole my heart from 07-09 as I got into drifting. Totalled this at a pro-am qualifying event.

I won't post pics of my CRV because it was stock and boring, but I just recently traded it to my friend Chach at ProFunction for this pile. It has a gsr motor and some other ****. I recently put white HX wheels, an SIR lip and stock headlights on it.

and my real pride and joy.

sorry for the long intro. I have a few plans for the civic, mostly just small things to make it look a bit nicer and be more comfortable as my winter/daily. Anyways, cheers, thanks for reading.
