i got a fuel pressure reg and b&m fuel gauge not the best setup. but anyway when i use just the fuel pressure reg i put it to 41psi but as soon as i hook up the fuel pump it jumps super high how do i hook the fuel pump up so it stays at my desired psi? and i cant bring down the pressure low enough with the reg

I would slap the stock fpr back on for now. What kind of fpr do you have?

you said that you use the fpr and set it at 41 psi, so i'd assume it's a b&m fpr, since you have the gauge as well. it is known with the walbro 255 pumps to increase your fuel pressure reading. this is why it is necessary to lower your fuel pressure with your b&m fpr. that is what it is there for.

there are a few threads on the boards that have covered this in the past.
