Re: fuel pressure searched (scuffywin)
revving the engine dosent always raise fuel pressure. the only thing that does is pinching off the return ( i.e. FMU ) or pullling vaccuum of the FPR which only does 10 PSI. +or- couple psi.
easy test....... get needle nose, some sort of gentle pliers whatever pinch fuel return line if your fuel pressure goes to roughly 100 psi the pump is good if not replace the pump.
pump should be capable of 80-120 PSI roughly my Walb. 255 will do about 115ish. dont know how accurate my gauge is above 100
that is the quickest easiest way to see if the pump is doin its job,,, oh and make sure you have adequate fuel in the tank i dont care what the gauge says

Re: fuel pressure searched (scuffywin)
somewhat dump a few gallons first and see.
when my fuel gets real low i hear the pump get louder and my fuel pressure gauge starts acting erratic cause it is suckin in air
but its a possibility yes.
here is what you do.
1. go put say 5 gallons in it.
2. pinch off the return line and see what the pressure goes to.
3. let me know
