weirdest thing....
ok i am having a issue that i can not figure out.i just got my car back together and i am having a major fuel pressure problem.my b&m gauge is pegging at 100 psi and my car is running extremly rich,i have put 3 differant fuel pressure regs on it and nothing changes,i even moved the vacum for the reg to several differant p-laces and even tried it with it unplugged,i also blowed through my freul return line with a blower and it is clean,i am lost and do not know what to do.oh ya i also changed the fuel pump from a pre performance to a walbro 255
return line sounds like its kinked or fuct up.
what else would not drop the pressure? You say youve tried 3 diff regulators. Id assume you tried the 3 different regulators..... installed correctly?
What kind of fuel system, is this a honda stock one with just one of those DIY b&m regulators, or some shade tree creation that someones put on the car?
You turn on the car, the pump sends pressure to the rail. If you have a correctly installed regulator, any pressure beyond the adjusted point is bled back to the tank via the return line at the base of the regulator. If you adjust it to 50psi, and you are running 100psi
A. The regulator is installed WRONG
Or
B. The return line to the fuel tank is botched up and is restricting flow

check the return line. Ive seen bolts and **** in there that were meant to be a temp plug but forgotten. If its plugged up and the gas cant return to the tank, your pressure will raise.
If that does not work, the only other thing i can suggest is look at the fuel rail you have. Sometimes those aftermarket fuel rails (no idea what you have)do not have the factory pressure regulator hole drilled out. They come and are made for an fittings on the ends and putting a regulator like an sx or aeromotive on the end of the rail. When you use a stock one, sometimes it requires you punch out the material thats in the hole where the regulator mounts up. You get some **** like that going, and it could restrict flow back to the tank causing the rail to backup and jack the pressure up. Either way dont be driving that **** AT ALL till you get the pressure down. Thats way too much.
