Default Fuel Help

I really need a straight answer on this one because I am playing against the clock. I have gone through 2 holly fuel pumps in 2 days, so I am guessing something is wrong with the fuel setup. This is what I will have as of tomorrow:

B18C1 9:1 compression Drag 3 turbo kit
440cc injectors
12:1 vortech fmu
B&M fpr
hondata 3b (starter map for boost)
walbro intank fuel pump (GSS 317)
airtek inline fuel pump

I know it needs to be dyno tunned but I want to break in the internals first. So if the engine sees boost it won't be anymore than 7psi until I dyno tune it. When I went through the two Holly pumps the setup was the same except i didn't have the inline pump. Is there anything in this setup that would cause a problem with the fuel pump going out again. By the way if anyone is wondering, I didn't have to pay for the holly tanks.

why are running a FMU with hondata?
YOu dont need an fmu or the inline pump. Just use the intank with the 440cc injectors and get it tuned. I think the fmu is messing up your pumps becuase you are running high fuel pressure due to the fmu.

I thought that might be the problem. I am going to have them remove it tomorrow. So the B&M should do the job with the Hondata even while boosting?
Thanks

If Im not mistaken, sonny once said he tested the B&M and it didnt raise fuel pressure like it should have 1:1. I think he said the stock worked better, but it wasnt adjustable. Your other option is the AEM adjusable.

Sonny can you give some input on this if you read this?

thanks for the speedy response, you might have just saved me another fuel pump, or my sponsor anyway.

Art is right. No FMU for that setup. The volume demand for fuel flowing through the injectors using 440cc injectors + a 12:1 FMU is probably killing your pumps. The GSS317 is not a very powerful pump above about 75 psi.

I've seen mixed results with stock or B&M FPR. I had one that rose under boost (about 0.7:1 rise rate) and two that did not. Either one is fine as long as your tuner knows what is going on.

Good luck.

How do you go about getting sponsors without knowing the first thing about your setup??? Please tell me, I could use the extra money.
