Default Fuel management help

For my initial turbo setup, I will go with vortech FMU 12:1 (uberdata coming in summer).
I have a inline walbro fuel pump also. Will this make my A/F ratio too rich? or just rich enough to be safe (as far as I understand, lean is dangerous)?

What if I put in 450cc also?

you need something to control the injectors if you put in 450s, I suggest converting to uberdata now and putting in the 450s. A basemap is better than an FMU.

Do you already have a laptop? an Uberdata setup isn't that expensive.

With an FMU setup you need the FMU, inline pump and a timing retard system.

With Uberdata you just need larger injectors, larger fuel pump (intanks are better IMO), and at the minimum a burner. You can always borrow a wideband setup from somebody else or use the one at the shop where you get it tuned.

EDIT: you dont really need a laptop. You can do the changes on your home PC, but that means you have to drive home to burn your chips. If you go to a dyno facility t get tuned, you can borrow one of their PCs and run Uberdata and burn your chips. Or hell you can even pack up your PC and bring it with you to the dyno facility.

I don't have the $$$ to buy wideband yet, let alone pay for professional tuning.
That's why I go with FMU for now.

So FMU + pump shall be rich enough not to blow up my motor?

The richness isn't the problem, it might be rich it might not, depends on the boost. The timing is the problem.

If you're lucky maybe there is somebody in your local area that can let you borrow their wideband long enough for you to tunre your car. Or maybe they can help you street tune your car, since you cant get it professionally tuned.

And like I said, if you add the cost of the FMU, inline pump, and an MSD BTM or similar device, that setup will get pretty costly too (assuming you buy it all new). With Uberdata you dont need a timing retard device because Uberdata can do that for you.
