is this bock sleeved????????
Looks like if definatly has a block guard. It may have some sort of drop in replacement sleeve. But its hard to tell. I do know alot of machine shops back in the day use to use drop in sleeves. They are not as strong as something like Golden Eagle or Darton.
stock sleeves
stock sleeves have 2 layers and all 4 cilindards are 1 piece. iron on the inside and aluminum on the outside. after market sleeves are all iron and there are 4 seperate sleeves

Stock sleeves with a block guard. You can tell by the fact that the sleeves appear to have 2 layers to them. Also, you can see that all of the sleeves are connected as one piece. Aftermarket sleeves come as individual pieces

they look like JG sleeves to me, OEM ductile iron sleeves are no where near that thick. look at the steel Vs. aluminum thickness there.
those are the pressed in ductile iron liners.
Notice that the iron part "darker" material touch in the OE post. a stock block will have aluminum material between the ductile iron all the way around

yes, but the older style sleeves are that way, they bore out the stock sleeves, and some of the aluminum to make room for a thicker "and stronger" ductile iron sleeve.
they were called ductile iron Liners

Touche my friend! I didnt see the picture before making my post or i would have changed my tune a little bit. From what i had ever seen, only stock sleeves had the Siamese sleeve design. All of the sleeves nowadays (from what i can recall off the top of my head) are separate, but butt up against one another.
I think you may be on to something

Is there any reason he should get his money back?Is it a bad design?I dont understand what ur post means.

one of many lower quality sleeves and machine work. (of course someone will defend jg) but based with what I seen in their work, I was not satisfied. Again it's my opinion.

thank you. thats what i was trying to point out. the sleeve was a bit thicker than most OEM. I thank you for not posting the usual "its oem with blockgaurd" and looking at the pics and making a sound wise answer. I almost gave this up as a regular block.
And I picked this up for a few hundred bucks, and it has gsr crank, eagle rods, and forged low comp pistons.
So its all good. Garage808hatch, u have pm

I havent had a problem with my jg sleeves, my buddy did. its a hit or miss thing. Not saying all their work is awesome or anything, but i personally have not had a problem. Again...its only my opinion. I say, if you picked it up cheap...give it a shot. Thats why i used a jg block lol.
JG sleeves arent real sleeves imo, he just bores out the stock iron, and a little past the aluminum then presses in a thicker iron insert, i think a company called LA sleeve sells the thicker stock iron inserts not 100% on that part, but yeah, yet another reason i dont like JG
and yes im a member of the "official jg is a horrible person and business bandwagon"

What block is it? because a B20 block the iron parts of the sleeve touch in the middle FACTORY and do not have the aluminum between cylinders
