Default What kind of sleeves are these?

I have this b18c1 block that i got free and i was just wondering if any one has an idea of what kind of sleeves these are?? they look alot like stock i was thinking darton dry sleeves?

I'm not 100% sure but I'm gonna say you can't o-ring a stock sleeve. And those are o-ringed for sure. Plus stock sleeves are two toned because the iron insert is dark grey and its set into aluminum so the outer portion is actually cast aluminum. Where aftermarket sleeves are all iron.... So no aluminum casting. I'd say those r California sleeve co. Sleeves that have been o-ringed. Worth 800-1000 whp... Do it

Outer portion on stock sleeves is all one piece that is cast with the block. Those that he has are clearly separated. It is painfully obvious for everyone to see

It's a LA sleeve for sure (what Benson uses) and it's o-ringed. O-ring is either aluminum or steel. Steel o-ring should have a receiver groove in the head to work properly or be recessed far enough to make the proper impression in the head gasket yet not keep the head from properlt seating.

Benson uses his own design sleeve that is manufactured by Darton. That could be benson or la sleeves

those are not la sleeves... thats what most of the locals around here use and they are easy to spot. i cant tell you what they are but they arent la
