anyone running a boosted b16 with ctr pistons? currently have one in my car and thinking of boosting it, head has major port work, (apparently it's ported to lower the compression) I dunno bought the head that way. compression test was 210-215psi across the board. Good motor to boost? Or compression too high?

Default Need ADVICE!!!

currently have a 00 Si, b16 head, b18 bottom end.. not turbo'd yet.. trying to figure out exactly what internals i should get.. unfortunately, i dont have the money at the moment to build the head(if its necessary, because its my daily driver and i dont really wanna boost more than 12-15 psi) and to buy a turbo kit.. i've been lookin at generic stuff like jdmsport and godspeed but i dont know if its worth the 700 or if i should save another 700 or so and get a precision turbo kit, or something of equal value...

now as far as the internals go, i was gonna get the buddy club spec IV cam combo kit to fully build the head and then my buddy told me that the spec IV cams wont work with the a turbo set up.. somethin like once i;d boost only until vtec cracks and then it would drop off.. so i started lookin at the spec III kit but i dunno if i'd have the same problem?? he's tellin me just go with the skunk2 stage 1 cams because i can use them all motor for now and then they are compatible when i slap a turbo kit on..

if anybody can help me out here, like i said, i dont have the money to build the head right now and buy a turbo kit, so im lookin to get cams that i can use for a few months until i have enough feds for the turbo kit and still use those same cams with the turbo kit.. it would be greatly appreciated!

A buddy of mine and I switched cars for the week, he's driving my S2K and I have his 95 Integra with a boosted B16A2, it's a lot more fun to drive than my car.

Here's his set-up
-Stock B16A2
-ARP Head studs
-Speedfactory Mini Ram Manifold
-Tial 38mm Wastegate
-Backdoor Intercooler set-up (one charge pipe from TB to intercooler)
-RFL BOV
-Greddy Profec B Type-S Electronic Boost Controller
-Walbro Fuel Pump
-DSM 450cc Injectors
-Ebay Turbo
-2.5" custom exhaust with V-band clamps at the down pipe and axle back

It put down 318whp @ 12psi but has now been turned up to 14psi
