Just wondering what all needs to be redone to the head when wanting to push upper 200's to lower 300. I am going to change cams, but what kind would work best? (I am thinking crower) Should valve and valve springs be changed and if so what should I use? (Don't know to much about them) I think in the block I will go Eagle rods with JE pistons. What bearings are best? And could someone inform me some more on having the block bored?

you dont need to do anything to push upper 200-lower 300 hp...get it tuned right and it will be fine...ive been boosting my totally stock b16 block and head for almost 3 years now with 350 hp and it has been fine...now if your talking 400-500 hp then yea i would recomend building the motor

Well my car will also double as my dd, so I gotta be super safe and can't be risking anything and I know you have to be pushing the envelope with yours. And what setup would you use if you did build and decided to go higher. How big would you bore out and would you sleeve?

i dont think it would be a problem dd as long as you dont go crazy boosting every gear everywhere you go but if u want to be on the safe side then do it...my tuner told me basically anything over 18lbs on a stock b16 head is pushing it but i keep my boost limit set at 18 lbs so whenever it tries to boost higher the motor shuts down with the hondata so i have no worries...i would sleeve before boring if you want to be safe...good luck with your setup and keep us posted

Okie heres my set-up...
Will post dyno up once I hook printer up to this comp.

STOCK JDM 1st gen b16 ( 1989 motor )

318.72 whp & 218.80 wtq DYNOJET Running Cond. 20.45 oC, Humidity 34%
@ 12 PSI !!! ( THIS DYNO WAS DONE WITH ONLY 2.5" EXHAUST,Tial wastegate, and Turbosmart BOV )

Set-up :

Sk2 stg 1 cams, springs,retainers, cam gears ( set 0 - 0 )
FPMotorsports t3/t4 to4e Turbo .50/.63 a/r
STR log manifold ( with crappy elbow )
Small charge pipe kit 2.25", 2.0" and 1 piece 1.75".
FPMotorsports BIG Intercooler
FPMotorsports Tial Style 38mm wastegate ( Had a 38mm tial sold it for the FPMotorsports one )
HKS SSQ style Bov
b&m fpr and gauge
NGK blue wires and stage 7 plugs
Gs-R LSD tranny
Fidanza 8lbs flywheel
Competition Stage 4 6 puck spring clutch kit
2.5" down pipe cut
3" test pipe and full stainless mandrel exhaust
3" vibrant stealth muffler

In a 1994 Honda civic si 2 dr coupe.
(Removed a/c and power steering)

Best Time so far : 13.2 @ 111 MPH ( 2.1')-60' foot
MT ET Drags 22x8x15 @ 14psi ( Gs-R Hammer heads )

I put 50k on this motor, which I purchased from a young 18 yr old punk, and the motor is 100% stock 20 yrs old still ticking....

Plans for next year:
Better manifold : Blox racing ? or a mini ram ?
Bigger IC piping
Fix entire front end suspension ( Tie rod's, ball joints etc )
Get an alignment done with weights on the corners.

Purchasing another jdm block or putting pistons, rods and head studs in this motor.

Goal = 15-16 psi 350whp on 94 Pump Gas.
High 11's constant car.

BIG thanks to :
