Here is my set up:

B16a2 block
eagle rods
JE 9;1 pistons

B16a2 head
RC 750 injectors
GS-R camshafts
skunk2 cam sprokets (at zero)
DH-Racing valves, springs, and retainers.
Stock throttle and intake.

Turbo
garrett 57 trim, 63a/r oil cooled turbo
AFI ramhorn manifold,
tial 38 wastegete and blowoff valve
3 inch piping
Not sure on the intercooler size, I do know its a 2 inch inlet and outlet.

HP is 327 and TQ is 252 at 14 pounds, 93 octane

nels00n-i cut the dipstick just shy of the rubber seal. simple and easy to check the oil

any high powered b16 guys running stock trannys with just lsd? gunna b aiming for 600hp range n wanna know if i should build the tranny or would stockish work just fine?

My car is running on stock axles. My tuner has a 10 second car and is running Auto Zone axles as well.

got my car going 100% yesterday thank god. hahaha street tuned 7psi. stock b16a will give a better run down of set up later. its my 1st turbo honda and boost is like a drug and i always want another hitt.

friend of mine did a ebay setup lasted 2weeks now he's doing it over!
but with good parts more money but worth it.. cost less to do it once right.. jst my opinion

well i picked up the car today its a 96 coupe with a jdm b16a ,i did a compression test before i made the deal and it was 185 psi on all cylenders so the motor seems preety healthy .lol


now my set-up is looking like this as of now

stock b16a
arp head studs
cometic headgasket

goal=275-300 whp on 93 pump gas
spf tubular log manifold
evo 9 intercooler
3 inch exaust
tial bov
tial wastegate

please advise me a good turbo for my power goals ? this is gonna be my daily drive ..

a 50 trim or 57 trim i have a garrett 57trim. i have to say i hit boost at like 3800 rpm maybe earlyer and it pulls all the way to red line man. ***** fun as hell and u can drive it out of boost with no issues and like a stock car.

anyone know what my cp ratio is, did a compression test on my b16 with ctr pistons, results were 221psi cylinder #1 219psi cylinder #2 223psi cylinder #3 224psi cylinder #4. my friend said it's around 11:1. Can anyone confirm this?

stock jdm b16a. really i dont know how much it cost but i would have to say 2000+ i bought all good name brand parts New and used. but the turbo i am talking about you can find used from 200 to 350ish just keep looking. g/l

hey man i run a minin ram or a shorty as i call it was ur oil return line a pain in the freakin *** to do? i hate mine and i dont trust it at all like i am going to change it again. it just seems like not enough room to get it flowing good. if u want pm and i will send u pics some time soon and let me know what u think? kool?

just found out i have a 94 sir-2 b16a so it has a little higher compression then the first gen b16 a ...so here is my full build ...some parts i have and some parts im looking for .....


stock b16a 51k miles
arp head studs
cometic headgasket
sfp tubular manifold
garrett T3/T4E 57 Trim
tial 38mm wastegate
tial 50mm bov
supertech dual valvesprings and reataniers
cc stage 4 clutch kit
walbro 255 fuel pump
550cc injector's

thats preety much all i can think of now will start a build thread soon ...

goals=300whp on 93 pump gas ...hope i reach my goal ..

You can get away with a smaller turbo than a T3/T4 if you want to keep spool up time to a minimum. I made over 300whp on a GT2871 and the spool was immediate.
