i think myles (gringotegra) took some pics when he changed his hg and stuff.

but i do think that youll see a little cooler coolant temps. it does burn cooler so theres gonna be cooler temps all around really. but i think that egt's is where people are seeing the most noticeable difference.

When i took the head off my car and changed the HG and put in Headstuds, i was quite supprised at how Clean it was...i had been on E85 for about 12k miles and before that i was on Pump for a good 10k miles... There was almost NO carbon build up on the pistons, and the little bit that was on there came right off... everything else was fine and very clean...

I have noticed that the car Takes a bit longer to Get to optimal temp vs when it was on pump.....

I also had some CRAZY mpg this weekend... went on a 360 or so mile road trip to seattle... averaged 27mpg!!!! AFR's @70-80mph were high 16's low 17's and it was crusing just fine... best mpg i got was 28mpg...went 197.8 miles on 7.06 galons... car averages about 21-22mpg City with a few pulls here and there ... so just goes to show you you can get good mpg with E85!!!

Ant do you use the 20/50w? or the 10/30w? im thinking about making the change to it, i was reading somewhere that its really really good ****! some old Ferrari guys were talking about how they used to run it back in the 60's and 70's when it was Kendal GT formula... It is alot cheaper than Royal purple thats forsure!

Im probably throwing my car on the dyno sometime this week for some fine tuning... i will let you know the numbers ....

Sup everyone!

I switched over to the Brad Penn 20w50 for my tune with Tony at T1. I really haven't had a chance to test it out. But I am glad to say it made it through my tune.
I talked to Tony about oil filters too and he said to go with either Mobil 1 or K&N. He actually did a test with his race car, and found out that the other filters looses a little bit of oil pressure during his run down the track on the top end. But with the Mobil1 and K&N it held steady pressure.

And for the good news, I just got back from tuning my car on E85 and I almost hit my goal. So I'm on the new bandwagon and I'm glad to say I LOVE E85!

First off, I got E85 for $1.65 a gallon! That sure beats $14.00/gallon for q16. And the final numbers are in.

580hp/400tq @ 26psi w/ 90% duty cycle

Hoping for some 10's this weekend! Can't wait.

So you lost 100hp/40tq at the same boost going from Q16 to E85 or is this a different setup?

Well come to find out my 1st 5 bar map sensor was reading low, about 3 to 4 psi off. I put in a new map sensor and now it is reading properly. So my pump gas and q16 tune were tune on higher psi's than actually was posted.

It is probably somewhere in the thread but I am on the dyno inbetween pulls so no time to look. What does your fuel system consist of?

It should be in the 2650 area with me in it, I am 215lb

Post up the graph, I want to see what your working with With 580hp I would think you should be deep in the 140mph range with some traction.

I don't have the final graph with me, but I do have this graph. I believe this was at 23 or 24 psi.

damn our setups are very similar. Now if tony would only get ON with it I could be trying for 10's too
