Yeah i will shurly let you know how it goes friday night!
My Teg probably weights right at 2400lb but I am a fat ***! I WILL be trying to shed 150lb in the car this year and 50lb from my gut, it took me about 500hp to trap 137 at my current weight.

Well for starters....

DC2 chassis, no front bumper support, no a/c, no ps, no ABS, no heater (wiring removed too), no sound deadening, no rear wiper or antenna, no wing, all un necessary wiring removed, lighter LCA's, light wheels etc. Honestly turbo stuff does not add that much weight, my ramhorn and turbo weight as much as my stock exhaust manifold, I had 43lbs of sound deadening in the car. I have all my interior in minus the rear seats and the hatch cover, so you cant tell at all besides the obvious, I hate a "gutted" car.

This year the sunroof will be gone, adding 4" AL exhaust, I will have 2 lightweight seats, a carbon hood and trunk, no rear support but I am adding all the safety **** (cage, net, chute, kill switches, catch pan, scatter shield etc)

oh and every single freakin nut, bolt and bracket that wasnt necessary, got thrown into a pile..... that was probably 20lb's alone.

Damn thats alot of ish to remove... Well since this is my DD there are some things id like to keep. One main thing is the HEATER! i grew up in the tropics and i like to be warm and winter here is COLD! i know for a fact the heater core and stuff weigh a good 30-40lbs.. i guess if i was to really get into taking stuff out i could go crazy but some things i still want to keep.... i think i will eventully get rid of both bumper supports, PS, rear wiper delete and maybe some sound deadening.... unless i turn this car into a weekend car, then id take out all the **** i dont need!

I had the heater in until just a month ago, my car is a full street car but its has to go to the next level now. I like to drive my car in the cold but its just plain useless anymore, I need a C02 setup to set the boost at 3psi or its just a tire blaze fest. I know I pick up 50hp in the cold air I run out of duty cycle at 20psi and the tire situation is just comical, I can blaze 5th gear to redline on the highway just messing around

I've been doing a lot of E85 the last couple months. Recently been doing a little E98 as well. For the price and benefits I love this stuff. The E85 I have picked up quite a bit mid range meaning better spool time. We just picked up 432 gallons of E98 yesterday See what we can do with that. I will post back

I've not done much with it so far but so far I have made close to 700whp on low boost. We're going to crank the fuel pressure up and see if we can crack 750whp with it

thats still a **** load!! the 900whp+ cars were DSM's tho

Well i went to the dyno today again! Lets just say im alot more happy with the current numbers....I knew what the problem was before and its my dumptube... its short and on the dyno its sucked back up but on the street while the car is moving it doesnt have that problem... So i put a fan ontop of the manifold and did a WG pass... did 343whp@10.5psi... 2nd pass was 389@13.5psi... 3rd pass was the good one 421whp@14.5 psi Datalog showed a peak of 14.6psi.... the 421whp was STD SAE it did 409whp....the dyno tq pickup was not working so i dont know how much torque i made which bites but o well... last night we did a 16psi pull and it felt really good... so im thinking @ 16psi i would make about 440-450whp.. but idk for sure... The timing is still conservitave i think... @ 16psi at the top of 4th timing was 16 deg @ 8000rpm... AFR's were about 11.5-11.7... Needless to say im pretty happy and im ready for the track to open on friday!!! hahaha

ill have the graph up tomorrow if i can get to it!

Very nice Gringo, do you happen to have the ability to overlay your 2 graphs to show the power increase of the cams throughout the powerband?

I cant wait to put some cams in my car, considering the power I made with GSR Cams I would think I could pick up an easy 50hp at the same boost level with ITR's, cant wait to slap on the Pro-1's.

I saw alot of rah rah recently about E85 messing up someone's intake ports, well I just pulled my IM off and I will post pics tomorrow of the ports, they look exactly like they did when I got the head back from the machine shop, minus a little crud on valves.

Yeah i changed the springs... just put ITR springs in.. I only revved it to 8200 i can assure you if i took it a bit higher it would prob still make some power... I was very supprised it picked up that much but hey im not complaning... We had the car @16.5 psi the other night on the street and i am pretty sure i could have made 440-450 if i wanted to... my tuner asked me if i wanted to do a 16psi pull and i said im happy where its at right now! so why arent you going to touch your car now?!?!

And yes i can overlap the graphs i will have one up tomorrow..

All that BS about E85 is true BS... when i took off my head last week i as shocked at the condition it was in.. there was very very little carbon build up on the piston tops and the intake valves were clean as FAWK!!

Track opens tomorrow night... my perdictions are 126-127 trap and if the track is hooking 11.2-11.3.

In for the results, I remember a few people mentioning power increases with cams but the power does not reflect on the track for some reason.

hmmmm...i dont see how you wouldnt see results at the track. he gained power.

if you had some cams that just changed the power band i could see how it would be hard to notice that at the track but myles made 40+ wheel. by the rule of thumb isnt that 4 tenths? 10whp = .1 sec?

Im dead possitive that the car will go faster, if it doesnt ET faster it will shurly Trap higher..

And no i dont think that rule of thumb is too accurate.. Youd have to be able to make all that extra power Hook for that statement to be correct.. i calculated that at the speed im going now every 12-15hp i pick up seems to be close to about 1mph... so id say ET is more dependent on your suspension and how you can put the power down, and Trap speed = raw power... thats how i look at it
