wow I havn't been to this thread in a long time...
P.S. Just put together my motor. F23 block w/ h23 head. 9.2:1 Cr. Hopefully runs low 13's with this setup

re: ***The Official Nitrous Thread***
Lots of talk about blockguards on HT awhile back. With a 160 shot on my Z6 I was having problems with cylinders shaking and damaging head gaskets. That was with the blockguard "dropped in", recently I took my block to my machinist and had it welded in.
The kit that is installed on my car was never run with a bottle warmer, when I finally got a bottle warmer the 160 shot was friggin' incredible but too much. Plans are to run a 120shot and hope it runs the same number w less wheel spin and it should be safer.
Feel free to give input on the way its welded in, we felt the best way was to install it about 1/8" below the deck and bridge weld it.

re: ***The Official Nitrous Thread***
Quick questions for yall, Im about to run a 50 shot wet kit on my b16a2 and from what Ive read in this thread with a 50 shot I would not have to retard the timing for it I want to know if thats correct. Also I'm going with some ngk BKR7E-11 plugs as well I wanna make sure if those are the right ones to go with?

425whp/132mph on a 150 shot is ballin'
how much are you makin off spray? 250-275whp on a 2.0
why do you shut of the nitrous at 9000? if you up the limiter so you don't run out of gear why not keep spraying?
or better, get some 24.5's and spray 1-4 and run low 10's

did it break? what where the times/mph with the warmer on?
btw, how can the cilinder move when it's tukked in by a guard? is it sloppy?
for welding in the guard, hone it and deck it, and see how it runs.
lsvtec 12.4:1 compression ratio.
what will be better to spray wet or dry? thinking about a 75 shot

i'd say single injector dry shot fueled trough management. but if you don't have/ want to buy management and injectors i'd say buy a wet kit. 75hp max on the single injector, room for more on a direct port

The performance with the kit at 900psi is way better!!, it ran lean I can't support a 160shot tapping off the rail even with a 255.
Block guard worked good to 120 shot un-welded but once I ran a 160 I only got about 6 runs out of it and one of them involved buying 4 new valves, I think most my problem is related to fuel issues but I always had some headgasket issues on spray.
With just a 120 shot and the guard dropped in it ran for a couple years without failure low 13's only though(no warmer).
JDM91EF2 put up nice numbers, "this post means nothing without pictures" comes to mind though. Not saying it did not happen but......

re: ***The Official Nitrous Thread***
97 coupe with a gsr motor bored out to 81.5
mahle pistons 10.5.1
eagle rods
supertech block guard
(ls crank with eagle ls rods for a larger stroke)
built head(supertech springs, retainers, keepers, and flat valves)
crower stage2 N/A cams
blox intake manifold
omni 70mm TB
hondata intake manifold gasket
Kidd racing replica header with a 2.5 inch collector
walbro 255 fuel pump
thinkin about running spray since everyone else around my area is boosted or all motor any input?
thinking about a wetshot, not decided if i wanna do direct port or what.

re: ***The Official Nitrous Thread***
what i listed is what i have done so far, the motor was professionally built all i did was put oil pump, timing belt, head and all that stuff on he did the bottom end assembly. The motor also has basically everything new on it(such as timing belt, water pump blah blah just about everything you can think of). i am new to nitrous and dont know the differences between brands and what not, not looking for the fastest car or anything just something fun and new obviously. this thread has given me a lot of great info.

re: ***The Official Nitrous Thread***
i was thinkin along those lines yah, direct port would be cool though and i cant immagine it being too hard. iv done all the work to my car so its not like im afraid i cant do it, i did a brake line tuck, full wire tuck, and iv already done work to my intake manifold(port matching the throttle body) thanks for the advice, nitrous 1/4 times are pretty impressive

seems simple, but look at this video. these guys are all excited but look at the difference in flow from the middle 2 cilinders and the outer 2 (middle two flow alot more). also look closely at the nitrousflow upon activation and shutdown(outer 2 keep flowing nitrous after shutdown).
one of the best videos to show how crappy most systems are
that's why nitrous has such a bad rep

re: ***The Official Nitrous Thread***
wow good info,so you think one nozzle into the intake is better then? (well of course this all depends on the system your running, who sets it up, blahblah) but in general
