For a 50 shot on a ZC? I'd retard timing one degree, run 93 octane fuel only, and put in some new plugs. Make sure you're fuel filter is new and you're golden.

That's all you really need. there's other stuff you could so if you're paranoid like me...

im just wonder is it even safe to cut and spice into your fuel line.cant u just use t fiting from fuel filter. i bought the same plugs u got.got like 4 boxes so when i go to track.can i use a msd btm to retard the timing?i always run 93 no matter what.my zc dont like mid grade or regular gas.got brand new fuel filter, and getting same fuel pump u have here soon.the motor runs strong as **** i know it can handle it with no porb. just lil worried about the clutch holding, and the single cam si tranny.

What do you mean about the fuel line? Do you have a wet kit? I'm not sure about the ZEX, but my NX kit came with a "T" fitting that goes into your fuel line. It's perfectly safe.

I don't have any experience with the MSD timing controller. I did a little research, but I would rather KNOW my engine is properly retarted because I did it under the hood. What if the MSD thing breaks or you wire it wrong?

You're clutch might not hold, that's a legitimate issue with nitrous. I'm using a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch, I'm hoping it'll hold.

Don't worry about the Si tranny, I'm using it, it can handle 200 whp no prob. The differentials in them aren't the strongest things in the world, but assuming you preload properly and don't just dump the clutch all the time, you'll be fine.

thats a good point i wont use it and retard the timing under hood.

ill be buying new clutch and as for dumping the clutch i wouldnt be doing that anyways and i wouldnt spray till 2 3 4 any advice on what i should use to actvite the nitrous in diff rpms?so i dont spray under 3k or to close to reline.

yes i seachred for almost 6 months on thisi just want to clear up on few things.and by looking at your thread who would know better then you?

I posted pix of how I did it. Just read the directions, it'll tell ya.

Use what I am: MSD Window Switch. I got the digital one. It reads what RPM your engine is running at and will only let the nitrous soldenoids ground out when it's within a certain RPM window. Personally, I'm going to set it to turn on at 3000 and turn off at 6500.

The ECU I'm using redlines at 7200 and I'll be stopping right at 6500, so I'll be no-where near redline when under nitrous.

If you are within the proper RPM range and you activate the WOT switch, then yes, it will activate. If you really want to prevent yourself from hitting it in first, wire in a push button also.

That way, it will only activate when you're at WOT, within the proper RPM range, AND hit the button. That way you can pick when you wanna spray.

Lol, that's how I'll be doing it. Except I'll have a push button as well.

No traction FTL!

I ain't messin with my toggle, lol. I took my old shift **** (4 speed one) and drilled a hole thru it and ran the push button in that. The wiring has a quick release clip that goes to the main wiring harness hidden in the ash tray.

That way I can plug it in at the track and take it out on the street.

I re-torqued the head down today to 72 ft lbs.

Some of them were a little loose! They say you should periodically re-torque them down, and I'm glad I did.
