Dude, no one was more suprised than I was. I ran a 14.99 right after that just to prove to myself it wasn't a fluke, lol.

use the lube they gave you. tighten them in by hand first. torque in the right sequence, and torque slow. you should be good to go. And it will be a bitch getting all that old composite off your block. i suggest a wire wheel on a drill. hopefully you got a mls 3 layer hg aswell.

***UPDATE 11/11/06***

Almost finished the ARP and Cometic install. Took about 6 hours to get to where I am now. Ugh...

I began by stripping anything off that would stop the head from lifting off of the block. (Coolant hoses, plugs, distributor, braces, etc.) The timing belt was an absolute *******. I couldn't get the crank pulley off, so I couldn't get the lower timing belt cover off, so I couldn't undo the tensioner, so I couln't get the belt off.

Eventually I had to destroy my lower t-belt cover . I figure what I'll do is get a new one from Honda ASAP and then use my GF's Dad's impact wrench to get the pulley off and re-install it.

Anyway, on to the shitty pix...

When I finally managed to get the head off. (Notice the mangled T-belt cover. )

Look at those rockers! Clean enough to eat off of!

ARP's and Cometic HG just waiting to go on:

ARP's installed:

ARP's and the Cometic HG installed:

As it sits now, the head is sitting on top of the block, not torqued down. I am going to do that tomorrow. That's all for me today...

if u needed help, you should of just asked on how to remove the pully. would of made stuff easier. You also can remove the tensioner out completely or loosen it so the belt will have slack.

Well, there was a little hole on the cover where you could get to the tensioner, but it wasn't giving me enough slack, so it needed removing. I know plenty of methods to remove the crank pulley, and spent a good hour and a half trying. It needs a big ******* impact wrench.

Theres also a spring on the tensioner you need to remove to give it the most slack.

You don't need an impact wrench. I had one handy and used it but couldn't get it off, both air and electric. I ended up using a 1/2 ratchet with breaker bar and it came loose. The hardest part is keeping the engine from cranking over. Which is easy aswell. just trying to help you out. thats all.

I had a 1/2'' drive breaker bar, with a 4' cheater bar on it. Jumping up and down didn't break it loose.

Thanx though.

Nope. I fed rope into the cylinder til it couldn't move. Then stuck a screwdriver in the hole in the crank pulley. The bolt was just too strong 4 my weak ***, lol.

haha, i never did like that idea. I just put a screw driver in the flywheel side and it hit the block when turned. cranked on the crank pully bolt and it broke loose.

you punk you should have asked for help! I have a fail proof method to get it off. You need the crank holder tool.

75 shot may be ok, but on a pretty much stock d, it will be pushing that motor to its limits.
