i ran a 75 shot dry on a d16z6 a few years ago.... motor ran strong forever.

just keep an eye on the plugs (colder plugs), run proper fuel pressure, retard the timing, and you're set.

many people that blow their motors jsut add the bottle and forget the rest.

i also ran a 100 shot direct port on a stockish B16 for a long time, never had any problems. i think the motor is still running to this day.

I have two step colder plugs, I am retarding the timing 3 degrees, and using a PG7 ECU to make the car run richer. Getting it dyno tuned to get the A/F straight.

I did a bunch of research and came to the conclusion that the weakest link in the D16A6 when boosting, spraying, supercharging, etc. is not the rods or pistons, but the headgasket. If you run too lean, obviously you're gonna be frying your engine, but when you're talking about how much power it will hold, the paper composite headgasket usualy blows out first. Hence why I installed the ARP's and Cometic 3-layer metal HG.

BTW:

***UPDATE 11/12/06***

Finished the headgasket and ARP install!!!

Mangled T-belt cover

The T-belt was an absolute pain in the *** again. It wouldn't stay tight! My Helms got soaked in the rain last night, so I had to rely on Honda-Tech to figure it out. (Talk about scary, lol. ) I eventually got it though. She runs fine now! I had a few codes to iron out (mixing up a couple plugs, no biggie) and then she was straight.

Looks good, alot of people say you can re-use honda headgasket bolts, which you can, and i have, but since you got ARP's, thats all the more better.

I think so.

My fuel pump and window switch are gonna be here Tuesday. I also picked up a new fuel filter to help the flow out.

Patience young grasshopper...

Once the covers come in, I will take them, along with a brand new t-belt, waterpump, and tensioner, to my buddy who works at Honda. We're gonna replace all the stuff, retard the timing 3 degrees from stock, and do a valve adjustment.

Then she'll be ready to sray da boost juice.

As soon as the T-belt covers and parts get here, I'm taking it to be put on and the timing retarted, then she'll be ready to go. It's coming.
