My 88 std hatch
well no updates per say for the civic yet, but i have been doing an insane amount of re organizing and cleaning and what not in my garage, i went from having no space for anything, to having a grip of space to work on w/e project i choose. not done yet, but i'll post up a pic when i am. hoping to get some serious work done on wednesday and thursday, my next couple of days off. i know i have to spend some major time with a scrub brush on my trans case, going to try to have that all re done by thursday evening.
i've been looking into prices on tires... tire rack online appears to have the cheapest set up comming in at just under 400 for four 17" tires, everyone else is over 500. these tires better last my g/f a LONG time when i get them...

did a little bit of work today, unpacked my engine and put it on the stand, attached my oem oil cooler and the oil pressure switch. going to do a little bit more tonight, then HELLA work tomorrow
haha thanks man. yeah the battery is bolted down. it's screwed to the spare tire cover, which is wooden. and the RF subs were replaced with a single phoenix gold rsd 12d. gotta get an amp for it and then **** will pound!!
lol thanks for the view and the bump!
thanks for the support peeps!
lunalink, here's a pic of how my a6 sits as of now. freshly honed, hot tanked and they cleaned up the surfaces for me. the red bin is the a6 motor, the green one is for the b7 that my self and my buddy steven will be rebuilding with a y8 head for his car. man, i thought my crank looked good before they micropolished it... now it has a mirror shine to it! so does my cylinder head, which i had resurfaced for safety's sake. it had been rebuilt recently, so i didn't bother with anything else for the head, as this summer for sure i will atleast be caming with a bizzymoto stage 2 cam, springs and retainers, and their bad *** timing gear.

any one ever hear of rock products? that is the name of the company that made the rings and bearings that eastco gave me. they claim that their rings are (and i quote) "easy to install, quick to seat, slow to wear out".
as far as what i did to my ef today, i cleaned the interior up a bit. put all the parts that i'm not currently using but either will or will not (small things like the steering wheel and speaker covers and what not) in the trunk, i picked up every single bolt and screw and put them in a sandwich baggy and then vacuumed all the wire scraps and garbage out of the car. i then realized that my carpet is all sorts of messed up, and i need to invest in a new one. maybe i should just make one out of some nice black indoor/outdoor carpet.
then i test fit my 17's on my girls car. looks good IMO.

she told me get new tires, wash them, and find the other two center caps and we'll trade. lol

so today i finished tidying up the wires that go under the dash and run along with the existing harness, re ran my speaker wire for the doors, installed my dash and hooked my deck up. and called in sick to work because i think i have the flu... i hope i feel better tomorrow because i don't have sick time, so this come out of my pocket. also, my conversion from the 88/89 style cluster cover and wiring to the 90-91 style is 100% successful. my blinkers all work, my four way flashers all work and my dimmer switch works. i'm happy!

thanks man
we'll see how i like this mini me i have that i'm building. if it *feels* slower than my b1 then i'm going ls/v as fast as i can afford to. but i am going to play with this regardless, probably mostly head work.
dang just remembered, i think i'll have to go to the yard early in the morning, see if i can't find a 98 or newer integra. i want the brake booster and master cylinder from one. super sexy lookin.
yes that one...was just curious because yours looks gray and not black in the pic...!!!
So i ran to the junk yard this morning, and stumped across a completely chopped and stripped 2000 ex coupe (vin said ej8, and it had a stock sunroof, and had big rear drums and big *** front brakes so i'm assuming it's an ex) and pretty much the only thing on it still was the brake m/c and brake booster, so i snagged that. the m/c looks practically brand new. i also snagged an obd1 rev. switch and an antenna for my garage radio (my old antenna that i ghetto rigged broke, and i couldn't justify paying 20 bux for a new one).
this m/c has got me wondering though... is it a 15/16ths or a 1" m/c, because i see a number "1" stamped under the reservoir tank, and on the under side it has a whole bunch of casting numbers, but i don't see any where where it is actually stamped what it is.
i'll post up pix when i'm off

will have an update tomorrow, i've done more work, just have been running low on energy as i have been getting over some sort of sickness (started with sore joints and chills and hot flashes, then tonsoles the size of walnuts, now a sore throat, bad cough and almost no taste)
here's a short up date: motor is 90% assembled. just placed an order for a timing belt, thermostat, and the two vtec solenoid gaskets. when i get those, motor will be 99% done, all i'll need is plugs wires cap and rotor, but that can come later.
still to do:
replace trans bearings
assemble trans
resurface flywheel
paint engine bay
complete conversion harness
complete the engine harness
convert my p28 to a manual (easy to do)
replace brake lines
get new rear rotors.
i'll have a massive picture build up later this week

I love seeing engines being worked on a stand
