just throwing it out there, i will be getting an sir front end in the spring... i have been looking at my front end parts.. my passenger side fender is messed up from being bent in by the door, the filler piece is smashed up, the bumper is hella cheesed up, looks like some one took a cheese grater to it, the hood has a whole bunch of dents in it and it's just easyer to get an sir front then try to piece together a usdm front.

got some more work done, although i'm not finished working on her tonight.

here's how the drivers side harness looked AFTER i started de tangling everything. there was about two feet of harness just bunched up and wrapped up under the dash. so i freed it up.

I will post pix of finished product when i'm done tonight. i figure another two hours will be good

thanks man. i feel your pain though. still debating weather to rebuild the b7 or the a6... both would be fun... also, not sure if i want to attempt to hone my block on my own, or have a shop do it... decisions decisions

going to try to hit up the 'yard on Thursday, hopefully they'll be open their normal hours on Christmas eve. i work till one, that'll give me three hours to mill about and see if i can't de pin and remove some lx sedan parts...

also, I'm going to check out a Nissan quest or two. my grand mother has one, and the rear windows are pop out windows, much like our EF's. only instead of being manual windows... the quest's are actuated by an electric motor. so what I'm thinking is this. take a sedan power window switch, install power window regulators from the sedan into my doors, that takes care of the first two switches. the second two could very well control electric pop out rear windows. I'm going to have to do some experimenting with it, but it'd be cool if it works out ya?

i did some work on her today. finished up the drivers side tuck. still need to hook up the relays for my fogs and for my HID's, but that is tomorrows adventure. then passenger side. then to figure out how to mount my battery up front...

also, i believe i have everything i need to complete my obd-0 to obd1 conversion. all the plugs, p28, dizzy, vtec head, electronic vss and my home made conversion harness (might buy one tho, still thinking about it.)

Pix:

Bumper Light and Fog harness:

Wiring all ran and loomed up, this time it's ALL soldered and heat shrinked, no butt connectors here!

Washer fluid bottle:

all my obd1 plugs

well i started work on the passenger side tuck. going to be easier than the drivers side because there isn't a whole bunch of detangling to do. also pulled out and test fit my ac parts. they all fit almost like a glove,a and i think they'll look clean even though i'm tucking alot of things in the engine bay.

The wire tuck was probably my favorite and easiest mod done to my car.

yeah. too bad it's sexyness doesn't make up for the ****ed up paint job on my car. *sigh* it'll be one solid, shiny red color again some day. dunno where to even start with the engine bay, it so flat and flaky and dirty i don't want to event look at it. now, if it were satin black...

For how the bay is sitting right now, you can easily do it in about 4-5 days and about $50.

really? that's hella cheap. i guess i'd better start reading up on painting then. you think i should do some bondo work? i'm not going for any super hard core brake line tuck / shave everything to the point my engine bay bleeds from razer burn and is smooth as a baby's bottom satus, just a clean and simple engine bay is what i'm aiming for

Body filler would help smooth out any imperfections that exist. You should use as little as possible tho and don't use the 'Bondo' brand there stuff is pretty much garbage. lol

not too many updates. just workin on cleaning up wiring still. today i noticed a grip of butt connectors on the white ecu plug, so i removed them and soldered them together (not into one ball, each wire to each other). i also ran the power wire for my high beam, and finished hooking up all the wiper wires. all soldered and heat shrinked, then some i had to use some electrical tape over as well as he heat shrink because a small wire would poke through.

thanks! only thing that sucks about wire tucks is how time consuming it is when you do it right.
