dude don't worry. then again, my **** doesn't shine in peoples eyes like yours did. i've driven behind several people and haven't gotten any complaints. the beam is the same as a regular head light, just brighter. i don't drive with my fog lights on during the day, cuz the bulbs aren't cheap and there's no need to. same with my head lights. and i'll be annoying if i want to . but thanks for lookin out

Kinda wishin i had boughten an ls with tranny way back when... instead of my a6. dunno. just sucks not having any guts and still having problems with this car. going to try adding more grounds tomorrow since i'm missing my valve cover and tranny ground to see if it helps with my running rich condition (i'm thinking i have weak spark?). if not the FAK

tore into my d15b today, pulled out pistons two and three. all bearings are MINT in it. decided i'm going to give it a "quick" hone and some fresh rings, but the bearings are in perfect shape so they can stay. any ways i'm going to mate the block to a z6 head that i have, and should FINALY have a reliable motor. also going to be bolting up my si tranny while i'm at it. YAY for reliability.

I also got a price quote from darrels mufflers for a BRAND new cat. installed using the flanges currently on my test pipe for 160. not bad imo

that was for a magnaflow installed. i don't have access to a welder and don't want to mess with welding stuff together. i'd rather just pay to have everything done right the first time, unlike the guy with a CLEAN da that was in the next stall over, who put together a 3" drivers side over axle setup but when he lowered the car back on the ground it crushed the piping.

just got back from the junk yard. got a new wiper motor, oem map sensor bracket, new fuel fliter bracket that hopefully wont be so ghetto, some of the spring loaded flex bolts and a new doughnut for where my cat bolts up, another y7/y8 cam gear, some speaker wires for installing aftermarket speakers, and some pioneer speakers. going to the unemployment office now to see about getting fundage to become certified as a cna.

replaced my wiper motor, now my wipers act as they should (stopping at the bottom of the cycle as apposed to in the middle). then re ran my wire tuck on my drivers side cuz i noticed a couple grounds were getting pinched off, going to do the passenger side tomorrow, replaced my fuel filter bracket with a better fitting one, installed my wiper squirter bottle and "tucked" my wiper squirter line (it comes out into the bay right next to the hood prop instead of running up the fender wall in the engine bay). then re ran my power wire to my fogs through the bumper so it is not visible unless the bumper is removed. i also installed an oem map sensor bracket and an oem oil cap from an ek sedan instead of my faded red billet oil cap.

later on i tightened up my alternator belt (that keeps coming loose) then drove up to rocky bute, and bumped into my buddy steven supa. he's got a 91 civic std. deff. could use some work, but over all it's ok. i had a good laugh, he REFUSES to believe that my civic is a std, since i did a full dx conversion on it (ok excluding the trans but i have an si trans instead). can't wait untill i swap over to a 5 speed. my buddy supa did that do his std and he says it is a lot quicker.

then decided that i want to and need to ad MORE kill switches. that's tomorrow's task fer sure, along with cleaning up my back seats and vacuuming and cleaning the garage and assembling my z6 head.

So for those who have been asking, as well as just an update, here are some pictures of what's been going on.

I performed a center console delete on my hatch the other day:

But I didn't like that the paint under my carpet was shineyer than the paint on my body, so I installed a GSR center console instead.:

Found out today just how big of a drink i can put in my cup holders.:

Thought it'd be fun to take a pic of my fogs during the day. still kind of bright:

I also did some tidying of my engine bay, including an oem map sensor bracket, an EJ6 oil filler cap, and a different fuel filter bracket:

Cried (on the inside)when i saw this poor thing today at good will, complete with matching magnaflow fart cans, to unleash all that beastly 70 hp:

Then after cleaning my garage (no pix) i reassembled my practically brand new, recently rebuilt z6 head:
starting

exhaust side done

Intake side complete:

Rocker arms, cam and LMA's installed:

And finaly, my valve cover test fit:
.

Also discovered that my d15b rods are the exact same length as my d16a6 rods. so i really DO have a JDM block!! yay me!! lol

I also found 9 of 10 z6 head studs in a box in my backyard, i'm sure the other one is out there too.

going to recycle some batteries tomorrow and if i get enough cash i will order all the parts i need for my engine rebuild.

damn bro, thats alot. just go to kragens and get a semi-direct fit cat for 110. i have it on my car with no problems. pretty much its like a universal cat but the ends adjust the length about 4 inches on both sides. trust me, its better than paying 160.

just gaskets and spark plugs. i bought a full z6 that (i didn't know when i bought it) was seized with a warped head. after tearing that all apart, i happened to find a partial strait recently rebuilt z6 head on an auto lx sedan. so i picked that up, hot thanked it, checked all the valves and now i just reassembled it.

hell yeah, one of those things last me ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL day, and is only a buck for a refil. and yes, the head off of the z6 i bought was warped. way warped. dont question me, i measured it like three different times. the guy's water pump seized, which caused him to over heat HELLA, which caused the h/g to "blow" (even though the metal ones don't, instead the heads warp) which caused mass tons of coolant to be burnt in the engine which is why three of the four cylinders were seized and rusted to hell

and did you mean WHOLE? cuz there werent any HOLES in the engine that i bought that werent stock... lol

well today i picked up some honing stones from my buddy brandon, just on loan but i'm going to hone both my d15b and my a6 block. but as far as what i did today i installed a voltage gauge, trunk carpet, cleaned some garbage out of my car and made a moon hole on my timing belt cover. also thought about finishing the tear down of my d15 but decided against it due to weather.

here's a bunch of pix. enjoy!

Belt cover start:

after:

Voltage gauge:

Trunk before the carpet and tuck:

After
Speaker amp:

Sub amp:

Trunk:

Battery:

Subs back in:

the box looks like crap because it got wet and came un glued when my friend owned it, and he took it all apart and tore off the carpet (even though he didn't need to) and then gave it to me and i fixed the box but didn't have carpet for it

any ways.

sub wire ran

everything all hidden away thanks to my cargo cover

so yeah that's what i did today.

***** off. quit knocking every little thing i do in my build it does NOT bump annoyingly nothing. thats my van. these have a nice punch to them and they sound CLEAN. only thing that would make my system better is a newer deck that has 3 sets of rca out puts (i'm using a high-low pass filter adaptor for my speaker amp). volume wise it is loud, but it is CLEAN loud. and the bass is really only heard inside my civic.

here's a run down of my van:

kenwood deck
kicker 6x8 components custom mounted to my doors with phoenix gold octain r 5.25" two ways in the dash, only using the tweeters
sony explode 4way 6x9's in the middle
infinity kappa 6.5" components custom modded to fit my rear hatch with spl soft dome tweeters
two phoenix gold octain r 10d subs wired in series-parallel loop sitting in a prebuilt ported box
one audiopipe 4x100 amp for the speakers
one audiobahn 4002 amp bridged for my subs

car came factory with 4" dash speakers, no door speakers, crappy 6x9's in the middle, and 3" hatch speakers.

Okay so as the gf of DCRB I have been trying to keep my mouth shut, but when my car comes into the discussion I have to sound in... apekd if you didn't like my system why did you ride in the car?

Didnt you have subs in your car too?

The system in DCRBs car is perfect! doesn't hit to hard, but adds just the right bass to make it all sound good!
