you mean you want to take of the bit circled in red? remover bolts in blue area and ta da....

hey guys hows it going... I just finished mocking up a d16z6 with a jrsc in my '76 civic.. I fired it up, no codes, idle was good and then about 2min into idle it started to smoke (burning oil) I'm only running a exhaust manifold with about a 4" extension of pipe for testing. I shut it down, and oil was dripping out of the exhaust I pulled the manifold and and all 4 cyl were soaked, I pulled the belt off to run it with out the charger and again it smoked on start up to burn off the oil, after a min it was clear, i opened the throttle slightly and it smoked again I was looking over things and the only thing I could come up with was the charger was drawing oil thru the pvc. since it was only a mock up, I pulled the motor and then the charger off. It was full of oil! the head (intake was also covered in oil) has anybody ever seen this ? the motor was also fresh rebuild, new pistons/rings/water pump/oil pump etc etc

yeah same thing here but it wasnt as bad as yours. where did you connect the pipe for the pvc? after 2 days i saw where the problem was and put a oil catch can in instead and removed the pvc valve.

I took a tube from the box off the back of the engine and ran it into the intake pipe (between the throttle body and charger) where it states in the manual

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me out with some info? I currently run a d16a6 with roughly 10.5-10.7-1 comp, basic bolt on's, build bottom end (beefy LS rods, balanced rotating assem, and arp studs and bolts) 2.25 exhaust, and I'll shortly be runnig obd1 with hondata s300. I reactly run across a Z6 jrsc kit for a good price and was wondering if there would be any fitment problems? (belts etc). I think I remember reading somewhere that there was a belt routing problem when running a Z6 kit on a D16A6? And what do you think about my compression? is it too high for a SC set up? Right now the bottom end is build so Im not to worried but with a good tune should I be fine? And any other feedback you guys can give me on a Z6 jrsc kit on a A6 would be awesome.

Here is what we are working on at the moment. This is my 3rd Supercharger set up. Got out of the game for a few years and wan't to track my car. So Since those (otherguys) Don't have a kit for are small m45 blowers my friend and I are working on this. Two Laminova cores on with end tanks. The Heat exchager below is plenty big. Purchased of ebay for $100.00. We are hoping to have this prototyp running in about two months.

The other mod we are doing is getting rid of that awfull s-tube. I had a Endyn ported blower and from what Could see this is were most of the kit benifted from. The stock s-tube is just plain dumb. It's is so thick in some spots you can't even see light threw it. Endyn ports the **** out of this thing. Im planning of not using it at all and just running a straight shot to the blower. Remember this kit was designed over ten years ago. It's was made to fit a stock honda with stock wiring and stock fuel lines BLA BLA. Im hoping this new setup with some good tuning will get me around 200hp.

My old set up was a stock d16y7 with the Endyn ported blower it ran 13.9 on street tires in my eg with no backseat. Intake header and 2.5 exhaust. Im thinking that time is around 175whp.

This kit is being designed to be built again and again. So who knows maybe you guys can't get your hands on them soon

I ported the runners you can see in this one pic the runner on the bottom was of my about 4mm. These kits just with some touch up ported can benifit.

Is anyone using a 3.4" snout pulley from a D16A6 kit on their D16y7/Y8 kit? If so did you just bolt it on and go or have to modify anything? I ordered the 3.4" pulley the other day and will have it tomorrow so I'm just wondering. Thanks

no it would need to be shimmed to compensate for the offset differences between the y7/y8 and the z6/a6 manifold. if the first rib on the a6 pulley has the same measurements as the y7/y8 pulleys it should line up and I should be able to use the 3 ribbed belt.

yeah if I had enough room to swap them out with it still on the motor gonna have to have it hang on a engine hoist while I change them. If that gives me enough room...

it seems my FMU is leaking gas.. anyone know what I should replace? I'm assuming there is a gasket inside I can re-do if I take it apart.

is it allowing gas into the vacuum line?

replace the FMU

though I personally HATE FMU's ebcause theya re a cheap crappy "tuning" solution

maybe its time for a chipped ecu and a proper tune. would easily add horsepower simply because it can safely and speedily adjust the fuel better

as far as I know, they dont produce them anymore.

ebay, craigslist, ebay, craigslist, those are about your only options other tehn through the forums. the forums will be your best bet to get a good condition one.

or if you know a good aluminum and steel fabricator, you could buy any M45 or M62 supercharger and have fun getting it to work. pay attention to the engine rotation on those, the supercharger doesnt always work the same way
