to answer my own question, the complete y7 kit seems to be lining up just fine on a z6. I used the crank pulley, and alt bracket.

the problem i had with the JRSC is it was rubbing the cover for the cam belt at the bottom only saw that a couple of days later....

yeah im sure you could use the kit. i didnt have the alty brackets so it was easyer to make it little shims. 15 min work...

@92cxyd: what is your static comp ratio? how does it drive out of boost?

im busy with my JRSC build. D16a6 block with z6 head porter and polished, 1.8mm skim on it. using 76mm Vitara pistons (Y.C.P.) 1mm o/s

well pretty much the same as what you running. but using a JRSC in not the SC14

My belt is rubbing in the same spot too. It's a stock motor D15B so static is ~9.3:1. It's got a bouncing idle issue and the coolant hoses are not all connected yet, I need to work some stuff out still.

The car runs a little slower than stock because I run a 8:01:1 comp. as compared to stock d16z6 9.2:1. (I have block decked 0.020")
On top of that I usually drive in the 5000ft+ altitude so I have 7:1 effective comp. ratio.

I can get a way with a little more aggressive ign. than I would at sea level.

this is all I could find for pulleys.
http://www.supercharger.com/Shop/Sea...WebCatalogID=0

As for boost 6 psi to 12 psi max depending on pulley size.

same site just click on oder by part # and enter 051-402 it's the 3.8" 3 ribbed pulley, or 051-402 is the 3.8" 4 ribbed pulley

It's running on the JR FMU right now. It's also not that fast but I'm still in the process of modding it. Currently looking for A DC Header, 460cc injectors are on the way, custom intake tube on the way, I'll be running 2.5" exhaust piping, 24" resonator, magnaflow muffler, and a K&N stock replacement Air Filter. Then I'll get it dyno tuned and post up the results.

Those day I'm trying to install JRSC kit on my EG, same setup as NeonPinHead.

No matter how much I'm trying, I can't get connectors from the main wire harness to place. eg. fuel injector wires, air sensor at the back of the JRSC ans so on.

They are just too short, or maybe there is a way to orginize them so it will fit the SC?

There is a need to make the wires longer by welding, or any other modifications?

I've tried to orginize the wires as it written on the JRSC instructions, but it doesn't work.

NeonPinHead can you please send me more pictures of your installed JRSC? Maybe someone else?

Any help will be appreciated.

i dont have a pic of it on my pc at the moment might need to take one for you tomorrow. but what i did was i took the harness an ran it above the water pipe on the back of the block. i also re moved that plastic bit around the injector wires.

needed to solder(not weld) a longer wire into the air temp sensor. about 6cm or so.

best i can do for now. put red(harness) where green is water pipe. hope you come right once you have done that.

Ebay or check the all the FS sections of websites the cater to d-series engines.

Sometimes Craigslist.

Or Post want to buy in this in all the sites that cater to d-series.

Or if you can not find what you want for the amount of money you want to spend, just build your own kit.

I built mine using a 1440cc/84cid S/C off of a '96-'97 Previa and mounted mine where the
A/C was in my EG.
Ghetto fab. it for less than $600usd.

It all depends on how resourceful you can be.

Thanks for the feedback!

I missed the opportunity purchasing one locally up here in Canada.

And another one on HT >_<* guess I'll just have to keep my eyes on the classifieds more carefully.

Hey guys...I dont mean to be negative in any way but id like to share my one and only experience with a s/c single cam...2 years ago when i had my b16 crx i went to the "street races" in bakersfield and came up against a jackson racing s/c eg coupe (ex).....We raced 3 times and i won every one by about 1 1/2 to 2 cars....He asked me what i had and i told him it was just a stock b16 with a megan header, stock intake, stock exhaust and a prospeed chipped ecu (meant for a b20 vtec).....He didnt believe me until i popped my hood...He was very suprised...I then asked him what he had (i thought he had a gsr or lsv) and he showed me his motor set up which was a d16z with jackson racing s/c kit....He said he had never lost to a b16 before...Although the power it made was impressive i dont think that would be the route i would go if i was building a sohc....but to each his own....

I recently picked up a JRSC kit on a decent A6 for my CRX as a means to make the car quicker at track days on road courses. I'm in the process of cleaning and servicing all the little stuff before I put everything in the car. I pulled the intake S-pipe off and I'm considering getting it Extrude Honed. ( or similar process since it looks pretty difficult to clean up and maintain a constant radius ) After looking at mouth of the bypass and the ugly casting leading into the housing, I'd really like to clean this up too, but not without removing it from the main SC housing. Does anyone know if the bypass assembly comes off without separating the main SC housing from the intake manifold? I want to avoid that if possible, but I can't tell what kind of seal I might upset ( to the intake ) if I only pull the bypass only?

Does anyone have advice on where and how far into the intake stream to mount a nozzle(s) for water/methanol injection? Thanks
