Re: Composites- The Ultimate Guide

I'm of the opinion that the only people that should be banned are scammers. Call people names ("slam") all you want, I'll just stop listening/reading them.

It is not very smart or self-serving to...

God damn it, you guys have sucked all the 'fun' out of corner balancing.

Re: 2009 Idaho Rally July 9-11

Bad timing. My car is ready (always more to do though). Was thinking of renting it, but probably wouldn't even be able to do that, timing-wise.

Re: Has anyone here welded front spindles?? susp. mod

What exactly are you talking about welding, and what are you trying to accomplish?

There is probably a way of getting there without welding anything.

I would not suggest welding the knuckle...

Re: oil life?

I think you'll find if you send the oil into Blackstone you'll be good for a lot more than 3,000k.

The oil life indicator is going to be far, far, far, far more accurate than pulling some millage...

Re: EHPS Redone

Personally I'd like to be able to put a potentiometer or something on the VSS input so that can manually adjust the amount of 'boost'.

Re: EHPS Redone

Awesome. Having the all-in-one computer with the pump is the key thing that makes this the way to go. Having an electric pump pumping full on isn't better than having a mechanical pump--having one...

Re: 2009 Idaho Rally July 9-11

Re: Let my Civic race car introduce me

High Density Polyurethane. Over here in the states, we usually plank the cars with HDPE so that the rocks don't eat away the chassis. We have very gravelly/rocky roads, and without the protection...

Re: Let my Civic race car introduce me

You didn't put HDPE down? Helps on our car for abrasion/sandblasting as well as noise (even with intercom rocks get pretty loud out here).

Running DMS or Hotbits?

Re: Let my Civic race car introduce me

Pretty obvious you haven't been to a real rally.

Lots of 2WD cars compete at rallies. I never seen an R32 rally car. I've seen dozens of Civics.

You have no idea how many Imprezas, Lancers...

Re: Where/how to practice autocross? Does anyone do this?

How is the car coming along? You going to bring it out to an event? If so I want to come see it.

Re: Spun rod bearing

Get new rods and crank. Unless you get really lucky you won't be able to use ACL bearings. YOu can try to find a matched crank/rod set that has normal clearances, and also fits your block using...

Re: S600 Coupe Off frame restoration

They never imported them into the US, although a few got in. Go to Australia, they seem to have most of 'em. Japan has a few too. Scattered through Europe.

What are the terminals and connectors that from the Honda wiring harnesses?

Re: Bench grinder: which size? 6" 8" etc.

Not that critical either way. Both wheels will last a pretty long time (unless you're using it every day). I'd go with smaller because it'll take up less space and be less expensive.

Re: advice on cutting out floor(feul cell install)

Probably a fair bit. What sort of structure are you putting into hold the fuel cell? If you make a nice 'cage' for the cell to sit into and tie that into the unibody it would probably eliminate...

Re: b16 pistons in gsr

The B16A and LS rods are wider than the GSR pistons, so yeah you'd have to narrow the small end a bit.

I think that USDM B16A's may have the same width rods as the GSRs--but I don't think so.

Re: b16 pistons in gsr

B16A and GSR have the same bore size (from the factory anyway), so yeah they are pretty much interchangeable.

Your C/R won't be the same though due to the stroke being different.

Re: Me and My dads frist cage

You really have to get the rear stays closer to the strut towers. That cross bar is going to bend like a pretzel when it gets loaded, or going to shear right off the shock towers.

If you're...
