b16 pistons in gsr

b16 pistons in gsr
I just cracked a piston in my b16 and I'm alittle confused on what to do. This motor was just a budget build to gain all the knowledge I could when going boost. I'm confused on whether I should just replace with stock pistons or buy low comp forged pistons.
I'm building a gsr for next year that I wanted to spend the money on and I was curious if I bought 9:1 pistons for the b16 would they work in the gsr?
Thanks

B16A and GSR have the same bore size (from the factory anyway), so yeah they are pretty much interchangeable.
Your C/R won't be the same though due to the stroke being different.

Could I swap stock gsr pistons into my b16 and my b16 rods without milling the rod to fit?
Is it that easy? Or will there be machining involved?

I think that USDM B16A's may have the same width rods as the GSRs--but I don't think so.
But other than that, the GSR pistons will fit in the B16A, but that configuration will drop compression considerably.

Re: b16 pistons in gsr
the difference in his case wont be the stroke.. its the dome of the b16 pistons that is going to bump the c/r of the gsr up .. i see this too much man people just throwing wrong information at ppl .. if you dont know dont say it .. it only causes confusions
