Spun rod bearing
I just bought a 93 civic and it now has a rod nock. I pulled the engineand discovered it has a spun rod bearing. there is little to no damage or scarring. I just bought new acl main and rod bearings, my question is do i need to get new rod and crank or do you think i would be able to get away with using the same parts
I also got new oil and water pump, timing belt and tensioner and all new gaskets
I also got new oil and water pump, timing belt and tensioner and all new gaskets

Re: Spun rod bearing
Get new rods and crank. Unless you get really lucky you won't be able to use ACL bearings. YOu can try to find a matched crank/rod set that has normal clearances, and also fits your block using ACLs. Otherwise you'll have to order custom matched bearing set from Honda, plastigauge to make sure they have correct clearances.
