Re: B20 non-vtec FAQ Guide including P8R head information

Stumbled on this thread researching my B20 build.
Looks like Si Valves may have some SS valves for the P8R.

Re: Tire/wheel advice needed for novice Civic autocrosser (FijiBlue)

Dont worry about being competitive, or things like saving a few lbs on wheels etc. Unless your tires are corded, just go and do a few events on what you have now. Your outlook on things WILL change...

Re: would this CRX Hatch make my car illegal for ne class of Auto-X (Swipe'd)

Just make sure you get a couple of hotties in bikinis to accompany you and then tell people there's a hot-tub under the hatch and they'll let you run in stock. LOL......

Re: Max Backspacing for EF Civics? (Dave Hardy)

Jaker on here was running 5.75" and iirc, the only reason he was using spacers was to clear the Wilwood calipers, otherwise they'd fit in front. Maybe he'll chime in...

Re: quite muffler for trackdays (kb58)

Why do you say the SuperTrapp is a POS? How many discs were you running? I havent used one of these for like 15 years, but way back then they worked very well on my V8 "pony" car...

Re: NHRA 10pt cage in SM? (cluelessmale)

Why dont you check if the NHRA rules would accept an SCCA 8pt cage (=10pt) instead and build that? Save yourself the trouble of redoing it if you ever wanted to do hpde/time trials and maybe even...

Re: NHRA 10pt cage in SM? (jsi)

ok, quick search found this:

https://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/large/cee-3220.jpg

NHRA seems to call this a 10pt for some reason. This would be considered an 8pt by SCCA rules....

Re: Lenso VPD 13x7.5 (jsi)

Just realized that Kumho no longer makes the 235-45-13 V700. Your only choice from them would be the 215-50-13 V710, which is not even in the same solar system width wise vs Hoosiers (i have a set of...

Re: Lenso VPD 13x7.5 (prjctwhteg)

225-45-13 or 225-50-13 Hoosier R6/A6 or 235-45-13 Kumho V700. The Hoosiers are actually a decent amount wider than the Kumhos.

It's possible to squeeze even bigger tire on there if it existed...

Re: WTB 4.9 FD for a D-series tranny (Knappster)

Which D? I have a Houseman 4.9 for the D16A1 (DOHC 86-89 Integra). It's the oddball "CG" tranny, not compatible with the L3 tranny though.

Re: zo6 vs modded civic on the track?? any help? (Stinkycheezmonky)

Well the CSP CRX with no allowed internal engine mods can get what 130-135whp at most? I doubt it was anywhere close to that. Visually at least (to me), it was getting 'smoked' by the front-runner...

Well, how about some real hard numbers instead of bench racing?

At this years Solo2 Nat's:

SS Z06 Alex T. - 99.816 sec
SS Z06 GJ Dixon - 101.299

2 Fastest Civics
CSP CRX Ron...

Re: Honda Pilot for Towing an ITR? (jsi)

Also, a good thing to try is to rent a dolly and a trailer from U-Haul and see how the Pilot does. They go for like $40-50/day or less. The friggin u-hauls are overbuilt and heavy as hell, so if it...

Re: Honda Pilot for Towing an ITR? (Flux)

Figure:

Car = 2500
16' trailer = 1600
Tires+gear = 400

You're up to your towing capacity already. Add a passenger and you're over. Too borderline for a Pilot, imo. You need something with at...
