I'm going to have to go with a Z06, especially if it's a C6. Those things are scary fast when driven correctly.

On an auto-x, power does not make for a big difference like it does on a track. Handling and driver skill is more important. I've seen modded CRX's put down faster times than stock Z06's.

Z06, in all honesty the car is RWD, Light, and makes well over double the HP of the civic and nearly 4 times the torque. The ZO6 is also way wider and runs way wider rubber. If driver skill is = the vette wins. Even with its 18th century ox cart suspension.

We're assuming equal driver skill. The Z06s can handle pretty damn well too.

Well, how about some real hard numbers instead of bench racing?
At this years Solo2 Nat's:
2 fastest Z06
SS Z06 Alex T. - 99.816 sec
SS Z06 GJ Dixon - 101.299
2 Fastest Civics
CSP CRX Ron W. - 100.116
SM Civic Nelson A. - 100.713
Keep in mind that SM ran on tue/wed. CSP ran on thu/fri in 1st heat in below 50F weather (i was working timing relay). SS ran on thu/fri in the last heat in probably the best conditions of the week.
Draw your own conclusions from this point on...

The CSP and SM Hondas were prepared a bit beyond suspension and a 185hp engine though, don't you think? I'm assuming SS is allowed non-street legal tires, correct?

Well the CSP CRX with no allowed internal engine mods can get what 130-135whp at most? I doubt it was anywhere close to that. Visually at least (to me), it was getting 'smoked' by the front-runner Miatas on the drag-strip type launch and the big straight on the East course. The rest that is allowed is mostly suspension stuff like springs/shocks/swaybars. Lightweight seats and maybe an HF shell.
The SM Civic (Rodney's car on here) is just about that, suspension and a swap, and plenty small details... IIRC, he told me ~190whp.
All these cars can and were running the same tires, Hoosiers A6.

Rodney's car is legitimately a bit of a freak. In a good way I didn't realize the CSP cars were that low on power though. Whatever the case, given the conditions you listed, and knowing that Nationals drivers all know what they're doing, I suppose for Autox stuff I was incorrect.

Yeah, the CSP cars impressed the hell outta me, especially since i was working close to the finish line and had an excellent view of the courses. It just another proof that autox is not about power.
Now, obviously, put that CRX vs. the Z06 on a big track, and the Z06 will anhihilate it. Prolly like 5 seconds on just say, the first 1/4 mile straight.

Hehe, not quite... I managed 107.xxx in my ~160hp 1680lb Civic. I blew the last run on both days for stupid reasons (cabin filled with PCV blow-by smoke on day 1 and shifted to 5th on day 2), maybe could've run a low 104 at best. So i SUCKED...

I know of a CRX that grids with M3's and corvette's and usually outruns them. He just went a'knockin' though...

More food for thought.
NASA TTU prepped Z06 ran 2:05 in August at Thunderhill. He was running Hoosier tires and limited mods. He was the faster limited prep Z06 that weekend.
NASA H4 prepped CRX would run 2:05-2:06.
For those that don't know Thunderhill, HP is a big deal there since it has two long straights.
Of course this is not an apples to apples comparision, since the same person wasn't driving both cars.
