i just got a jdm gsr motor and the knock sensor comes off. not the part on the block, but the black part that you plug the harness into. i can put it back on, but it fits very lose. this mean the sensor is broken now? would i be able to use it like that?

 

You might be able to solder it back together but your best bet is to get another.

 

i just pushed it back on for now. i just want to get the motor in the car to see how its going to sound. hopefully steve from hmotorsonline will send me another one along with the throttle body sensor that was missing.

 

I'd make sure you use premium, just in case.

 

Same thing I just went through this weak. I guarantee you that the weak *** knock sensor is jacked and its going to dump hella fuel and retard your timing when you start up the car. You won't get a CEL right away but you will eventually. Get it fixed now and save some time. 27mm
