I can' adjust my timming
oops, I posted something saying I couldn't adjust my idle, my timming was what I'm talking about. I'm tried give me a break ok
BUt my distrib. bolts are stripped around the edges and thus I can't move the distrib to adjust. DOes anyone know of another way to adjust the timming without the turing the distrib.

the vice grips didn't help either. They stripped the bolt as bad as the wrench could have. IT also has a hole for a philips screw drive. I would use an impact driver but the distrib has somemetal in the way blocking me to put any type of screw driver in there. at this point I might as well just bust out the die-grinder or something and hack that little S.O.B off. than maybe i'll be able to advance my timming tp the correct deggree
Sure, that would work but then you gotta get the posts out. Is there a way to get a drill in there to drill the center and then un....no the metal is in the way huh? Drill a hole in the metal to make a strait through shot at the screw or remove the metal if you can.
I had the same problem with the bolts, and vice grips worked for me. You just gotta clamp down on that thing really really hard. also try filing down a flat spot before using the vice grips!
...thats my 2 cents

just a side note, make sure the engine is cold when using those vice grips. once the engine heats up, those bolts get really hot, and soft. plus, if yours are like mine, they are a goldish/brass color. I personally think the metal used to make those bolts is really to soft. that is the main reason they strip, the heat, and they're cheap. so try it in the morning or something before you drive anywhere. that worked for me.
