Adjusting TPS?????HELP??????
I'm trying to adjust my TPS sensor to fix a screwed up Idle, but it appears the bolts holding it on have the tops of them cut off from the factory, and I can't quite figure out how to loosen they without damaging something. Does any one know if there is some special tool for removing the bolts, or some other way of adjusting the TPS????????
Just as B18CEG6 said, that's all you gotta do it's really easy. Or you can grip the sides of the rivets with a pair of vise-grips and slowly get it off. But yea then when you put it back on just use new screws, and set it to 0.5vdc.
Undo either the screws or rivets and either rotate the whole sensor clockwise to decrease voltage or counterclockwise to increase voltage. Don't mess with it tho if it still has the factory rivets in it that haven't been removed, it's already preset just where you need it. The only reason you would need to set it is when replacing.

Well, actually, when you switch ECUs or standalones, it can often offset the voltage, creating a screwed up idle, and actually if you set it at .5V, you'll have some issues. I needs to be at .45V, or at leats, thats according to Hondadata, and the Honda factory manual.
Thanks for all the advice guys.....

i replaced my broken tps on my d15b vtec manifold with my dx sensor. Does it need to be adjusted? I just used the outer plug....dont know if you have to take out the whole assembly or what. Just finished my d15b swap and it wont start. It's getting spark & fuel, thinking its timing issues but could it also be the tps? It cranks over just fine but wont fire up. Any help would be great!
