Anyone have any ideas on building your own vtec controllers? Is it possible? Let me know! Thanks!

Not really a good idea.
So, are you one of 'those people' that don't do anything yourself, or atleast anything new? Boo for trying to keep the man down. He didn't ask if you thought he should do it.

Anyway, it is kind of complicated because V-TECHK engagement is determined by coolant temp/oil pressure/vehicle speed/rpm and maybe more? SO, you'd have to modify all those inputs...or, maybe just get an MSD rpm activated switch, replace the "pill" with a 5k ohm potentiometer, so you can adjust it to whatever you want (0-~6500rpm) (then wire up a relay so this makes a ground, rather than a 12v signal) and then put that in place of the solenoid signal (ground) wire from the ECM and you might be able to lower vTeKCH a little without throwing a code...If you raised it in this manner, I think you might throw a code without changing other signals, since all the signals would show a 'go' to the ECM, but nothing would happen as far as VTECH is concerned.
