Icon6 D16z6 wont start!!

I have a 92 civic ex
-2 summers ago the car sat for a year while i was deployed....started right up when i came back
-i parked the car back in decemeber
-month ago i pulled the Distributor to replace the oring....i install it exactly the same.....its covered in grease so when i pulled the bolts off it was clean underneath....when installed i had a guide

-the dizzy cap is clean and less than 8 months of run time
-checked for spark on the plugs
-fuel pumps kicks on and can smell fuel in the spark plug hole
-double checked all wiring...everything seems to be pluged in
-battery is working fine
-starter works
-the motor is starting but doesnt even try to kick over

Any ideas
I had my friend move the dizzy to find its spot while i was starting the car
Please help!!

Do you have a compression tester??
Make sure the timing is spot on at tdc. Double check, triple check.
The distributor doesn't sit in right when its 180 degrees off.
If you had a hard time threading the mounting bolts in chances are its on backwardds.
Do a compression test on all cylinders.

If everything else checked out like you said it has to be the compression or the spark plug wires are mixed up.

Post a pic of your spark plug wires and they're position.
Also get that compression test done.
Sears sells testers for about 30 bucks good tool to have for any car
